You are correct.  We specifically made this impossible, when Doof says at the end of the date flashback, "And I never saw her again," so even if he saved the situation on the drive home to hook up with Linda that night, that means he could only be Candace's dad and since Candace and Phineas are full siblings... I'll admit I never even worked out the time line since we never said exactly when the show was set, but BRAVO for that.  We also never said how old Phineas is during the show, but he and Ferb are both 9 (Phineas turns 10 on his Birthday ep).  I may start referring fans to this video when they ask me on Twitter about this theory. In one episode when they watch a comet that only come every 73 year, Candice says that when she's 88 they're gonna get busted. That means that she is 15
  • @paddyscone780
There's also the fact that Candace and Vanessa (Doof's daughter) look very similar.
  • @amandarose9988
I was watching this one episode of season 4 where baljeet mentions college and phineas says "dude... But that's like nine years away" doing some quick math, he's in the summer between 4th and 5th grade so he's 10

If the dad had died either before or soon after Phineas was born, it would be a good reason why he's not mentioned because by the time Linda remarried she would have moved on from him. Candace wouldn't have had any memories of him either because in one episode it shows she was still pretty young when Phineas was born so what ever memories she had of her dad probably faded over time to where she doesn't even remember him at all.

Me and some of my friends in school were talking about this theory and we started to become wild in our imagination. We conclude that: It all started with Linda and Doof. They fell in love and Linda gave birth to twins, Vanessa and Candace. Then a few years later, Linda got pregnant. During the time when Phineas wasn't born yet, Doof and Linda got into a fight causing their divorce. Linda got custody of Candace and Phineas while Doof got Vanessa. Before Phineas was born, Linda was having problems maybe financially because of school, a house and other needed stuff by her, the baby and Candace or maybe having problems with birth so she decides to get married. She ends up marrying Ferb's Father. Ferb might be a son of a different woman since he doesn't look like Linda. So the actual true siblings are Vanessa, Candace and Phineas. A proof of Vanessa and Candace being twins is because since Vanessa is kinda like a rebel, she dyed her hair black and Doof married another girl so she can have a mother. So the reason why Candace wants Ferb and Phineas to get busted because she had a wonderful life before they came. Once again this is just our theory.

Theory: Doofie left Phineas and Candice when they were little, Perry was really sad for them. So that's why Perry always wants to destroy him, because he left and made the kids sad!
  • Plot twist: The truth behind Phineas and Ferb is that they're both demigods. Ferb's mom is the Roman goddess Minerva (Athena in Greek) who was attracted to Ferb's dad Lawrence because of his vast knowledge of antiques and the past. When two mind meets a child is bound to come around like Ferb. This explains why Ferb is great with ideas and his numerous facts which he sometimes share at the end of the episode. Linda fell in love with Hephaestus during her tour as a one hit wonder and was attracted because of how much he reminded her of Lawrence from the time they dated. This is why Candace wants to bust Phineas and Ferb, she gets it from her father, who constantly was trying to bust Aphrodite and Ares from the myths, and why Phineas is great with mechanics. This is how they pull off all their inventions. When two demigods like them meet, they can do anything. This also explains why we never heard about their other parens , and why they wear the same type of clothes everyday : (Orange-Greek for Phineas , and Purple- Roman for Ferb ) takes a deep breath and let it all out That's it. Let it sink in ;)

I honestly love how you call him Doofy. I think calling him that just makes him sound so cute. Now, I don't mean to correct you on what you think you know, but... Oh, wait. I do. Where you place their ages are wrong, and certain things you've pointed out make no sense. First of all,  Phineas and Doofy's heads are both triangular shaped. I don't know how you can miss that. Second, what does Ferb's crush on Vanessa have to do with anything? Third, according to the episode 'Act Your Age', Phineas isn't into Isabella until their high school years. And finally, what makes you so sure the date took place in 1982? We know that Linda became famous as Lindana in the 80's, so what makes you think the date was in 1982? The date would have had to of taken place before she became famous. Now, on to the chronological stuff. Candace's age. According to 'Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension', Candace is 18 years old. She states that Jeremy is 1 year older than her, and he's going off to college, meaning he's about 19. (As a side note, Vanessa is 16 as of 'Dude We're Getting the Band Back Together', meaning that she was born in either 1991 or 1992. Now, if Doof was the father of Phineas and Candace, he would have had to, as you so straightforwardly put it, 'banged' Linda before leaving, meeting Charlene, 'banging' her, then going back to Linda so he could 'bang' her again so Phineas could be born.) So, Candace is 18. If the show took place in 2008, she would have been born in 1990, or 1989 if it takes place in 2007. Now for Phineas' age. I'm not entirely certain where you were reading, but Phineas should be 8 years old, meaning there's 10 years between Candace and Phineas. The episode 'Act Your Age' takes place 10 years in the future, and he's going off to college, meaning he should be 18. The rest of the gang is also going off to college (except Baljeet, but that's because he's already graduated college.) meaning they're all around the same age. Phineas should have been born in either 2000 or 1999, again, depending on the year it takes place. So, now that that's out of the way, I have a different theory as to who their father is: Professor Destructicon. He was mentioned in the episode 'One Good Scare Ought to Do It'. Doofy tells Perry that Destructicon's name to his friends was 'Kevin'. Ring any bells? Well, Candace always sees this zebra that calls her Kevin. I think that could be a hint, but it's not a 100% positive connection. Not to mention that he's a character that technically hasn't been in an episode. He was mentioned, and there was a portrait of him, but that was it. Sure, it's really just a technicality, but it's possible in my mind: he was a normal guy, married to Linda, and the two of them had Candace. Then, they had Phineas, but he went a little nuts and became evil. That's why Candace remembers the name Kevin: because she would have been 9 or 10 when Kevin went crazy in the head. Maybe the zebra that calls her Kevin is a part of her that still wants to be connected to her father. Well, I think I've rambled enough.

idk why but you intro is really satisfying

I think I agree with John, I believe the writers in saying Doof is not the father. If you haven't already you should do some theories on the Walking Dead And I subscribed to GamerGasm! I can't wait for the first video
  • Jon - thank you for always putting the RIGHT slant on life, sometimes the programs and actions of others make no sense to me, but then you come along and make it reasonably easy to understand, I don't know, maybe I am a redheaded, freckle faced, left handed (and YES I am to the first three, before the post police start ragging on me) step child, but you make perfect sense to me ALWAYS!
  • You are one of the most underrated youtubers I know and it's really sad.
  • Phineas when it aired(2008, February) was 8 and Ferb was 9 while Candace was 14. Each season was counted as a year . Candace's age was going to prom in season 4 which is normally offered to the last years of high school. And in season 1 they said she had just began high school and met Jeremy. Phineas is 8 because in season 3 he had a 11th birthday party in July. And Ferb is said to be 1 year older than Phineas. And Doof was married to his ex in 1987 after his date with Linda, but them hooking up could be the reason she got a divorce... lol. But Doof's daughter appeared in season two when she had her birthday party and ws turning 16.
