Aldia left a mimic behind as a presnt for you, how thoughtful
  • @joeleary3014
Both halves of this playthrough have been so good, I love watching you solo stuff and puzzling through, but your vibe with Emma is great. Her calm level headedness Vs your "I'm just happy to be here- oh look a bee!" energy is fantastic Great to see 2 vids in a week :D✌️

Have to comment to say that the "Old Mirrah Greatsword" you got from that invader at the beginning of the video is a very rare drop, around 5%, and hard to farm because the invader can only be challenged once per playthrough or with use of a bonfire ascetic. Praise the luck!

Navlaan is a crazy NPC! he has a dual personality whether you're hollow or not. the "innocent" version is the one you encountered because you were human, and Emma experienced the "wicked" version that gives a sidequest because she was hollow. you let him out so now he's going to invade you a bunch lmao
  • @ikebeckman1074
It’s theorized that the columns are archtree trunks, they look like stone pillars because everything was stone and grey during the Age of Ancients
  • One of the special behaviors of DS2 is how your interactions differ by being human or not. Navlaan has 2 personalities and one of them is a sociopath who prefers talking to undead. If you don't release him he'll give you his hit list which mainly requires buying/doing everything as an alternative to that of actually doing it. By this point you should have access to all 3 DLC keys. The 3rd is in that area you could see in Forest of the Giants with one of the locked doors near that last giant tree you visited. There's technically a 4th giant tree also in Forest of the Giants, but it offers something kind of different instead of a memory. If you're worried about your humanity count, just visit the tower you and Emma forgot to ditch humanity to open the door for. The prize on the other side is recoverable humanity when you fully run out of effigies.
  • You freed him, now he is hunting you. Now you are being hunted by the Pursuer, the Forlorn and Navlaan. Good luck!

"I feel like some of the areas are just ... stripped of fun." Yup, that's the DS2 experience. Thank you for doing this playthrough, Amber. It's awesome to get to see a lot of this game that I just never had the patience to do myself. Bravo!

Navlaan will give you the sidequest if you talk to him as a hollow, but not as a human.
  • @greenman360
"I'll never escape him, I don't know who." Says right there, Royal Sorcerer Navlaan :)
  • @alphatwo84
I've been loving this playthrough, and the times you get to co-op with Emma are hilarious. Your reactions to everything as a first-timer are great and it's so fun watching you discover new things!
  • @Foxaris
The big ancient dragon is an optional boss. You only have that and another optional boss and the final boss (castle throneroom) and the 3 DLCs left to do now.
  • @ghostofdurruti
IIRC there are two other places where something cool happens if you go back to them now that you have the ability to enter memories. One is Vendrick's chamber in the undead crypt. The other is the chamber where you fought the giant spider boss, the Duke's Dear Freja.
  • @Lardzor
The shaking wagons do have something inside, but *you* are not strong enough to break them.
  • @cB-sr9kd
That golden set the dudes in the dragon shrine wear isn't a normal set you can like, obtain in your inventory, but if you give that petrified egg to the merchant near the start of the iron keep, it'll open a covenant. Rank up that covenant enough, and you'll get an item that'll let you henshin into that set.
  • @ChilledGricken
the giant memories are a really cool idea, i love them. i do agree that sometimes the execution of ideas in this game can be weird tho, it's an unfortunate trend in ds2 for me. really fun ep tho! always good to see more emma + amber shenanigans, great work!!
  • @TheMaskedGamer
How you keep checking for mimics and saying "Teeeeethh?" is so ridiculous and adorable.
  • @Spadaforza
Great progress, Amber! What a journey you've been on so far! Almost done conquering another Soulsborne game! 😁
  • @66Kusmu
Yo what you actually got the Old Mirrah Greatsword from Aslatiel?! That's one of the rarest weapons in the game because it's a rare drop from that one NPC invader that invades only once. damn
