  • I'm watching this in 2022 after having decided to work on skills that will help me connect more meaningfully with people, which is what me a lot of others out there need. This video has been so beautyfully enlightening I can't begin to explain it. It'll definitely be played on repeat for a while. Granted, I know full well I need to apply the information in it if I want to see results. Thank you, author. Lots of good vibes sent your way from me in Rio, Brazil. Thank you.

This speach is so rich. This is my second time I listen to it after a while, and I will definitely watch it again.
  • People don’t remember facts, but they do remember stories. Facts tell, stories sell!

One of the masters of using audience dialogue in storytelling is the comedian Jim Gaffigan. He has developed this character that represents the inner dialogue of the audience responding to his jokes, and he sprinkles that dialogue throughout his sets. The voice that he uses is hilarious, and the commentary is some of the funniest content of his shows. For example, after telling a series of food-related jokes, he might switch into the audience dialogue voice and say, "Is this fat guy going to tell nothing but food jokes all night?" The audience invariably erupts into laughter at these points.

Ty Bennet, thanks for making the storytelling so simple in bits and pieces. I have been struggling to find the elements of it, everyone is talking about abstract. But you been specific about it. Thanks
  • I'm a budding science fiction author. I will definitely be applying your wisdom to my stories - especially when it comes to making them about the audience. Thank you!
