    If this book feels overwhelming I highly recommend color and light by james gurney, he discusses the same things in a more digestable manner and how it applies to illustration. But if you want to get into the details and subtopics of those definitely pick this artist master series color and light book up.

    is the book's word to much difficult for high school 1st? i think i enough know about illustration to understanding the book if i can read it...
