"Definitive edition" with LESS features and more bugs than the original PS2 releases. amazing

“The American greed takes everyone. It’s like a disease.” -Mikhail Faustin, GTA 4 I think it’s quite fitting for Rockstar’s current situation.

The fact that Rockstar didn't give these iconic games the REMAKE treatment but instead chose to outsource these remasters to a Dev that didn't do a great job with mobile ports to begin with, says alot about how much they actually care

But what about those people, who say that the games look magnificent.... that they had encountered just a few bugs and think that the Trilogy worth every cent. Do they lie?

60$ for this joke is such a slap in the face for the fans
  • There's just no excuse for the lack of quality when mod developers have done it better and for free.

Moral of the story: "Never let a mobile developer do the work of a real developer."
  • This just feels like an Android knockoff.. Grab the Auto: Nice City

For a studio who calls itself "Grove Street Games" it did more damage to San Andreas than any other studios since the original release of the game

Rockstat went down a dangerous slope starting at 2013 when they stopped releasing content in gta5 and implemented in game microtransactions. Since then anything they did regarding gtas was pure and utter garbage...
  • I play a heavily modded version of GTA SA with HD graphics and extra features for the UI and cars. Then I played the definitive edition and started wondering: how can a modded version can not only look better but also be played better than a "remaster" that is almost 20 years apart from it.

GTA: The Trilogy: The Defective Edition
  • OMG DUDE. I can't believe you thought it looked like Simpsons Hit and Run too! Literally as I was playing it I said that out loud and my uncle was thinking it too. Crazy

Toys for Bob did such a great job on the Spyro and Crash trilogies and for a smaller price! They had to build the code and animate cutscenes... sure there was some bugs, but man... GTA trilogy is just defective. So much stuff is broken...

I'm convinced that remastering the old games could have worked. It's just Rockstar outsourced the project to a studio that really wasn't cut out for the job. Modders have already fixed a lot of the bugs that are present in these remasters, like the awful rain. What i think Rockstar should have done is assign each of the remasters to one of their own studios and released each of them individually to commemorate each game's 20th anniversary. It was bound to be a disaster having all three games remastered at the same time by a small outsourced studio and releasing them together.

R* paying a mobile game developer to make their first unreal engine project happened

This trilogy is just really good advertising towards Mafia definitive edition. People kept mentioning how this should've been a remake like Mafia and damn I'm happy I got it. It's a great game and shows what a company that gives a shit can do to an old game.

I am so happy I was able to play these games when they originally came out... When I was 13 and on the way to school, some older guy at the bus station wanted to change games (all I had was Simpsons Road Rage lol) and he offered me GTA3... having not even heard of the existence of this game, I was so excited to get Gran Turismo 3, which I knew from the demo disc of my PS2 xD but then, the moment of truth... I don't know if anyone today can imagine this amazing feeling of walking in an Open World - with seemlessly endless possibilities - for the very first time! People today just grow up with this stuff, but I was completely mindblown back in 2003! I feel sorry for everyone having to play these cheesy remasters.
