I’m British and the worst thing about being British and meeting people from other countries is that they either think we’re really posh and smart because of our accents or it’s they think we’re tough and are rough people because we can sometimes have a strange accent

When i went to London I realised you have really good manners, you are gentle and educated, and by the way I went to Starbucks, I asked for a coffee and I told my name to the barista, and then I realised she was Spanish, so immediately we switched to our language, it happened more than once! XD well I guess I should be back in order to know if the stereotypes are true! Well, greetings from Chile 🇨🇱

The language thing is mainly to do with our schooling, we aren’t offered to learn a language until secondary school and we don’t have to take it as a subject.

Went to Japan and realised how ignorant I was when I genuinely thought every Japanese person would understand me... but the thought of my brain being able to understand any written Japanese is also too funny to even be sensible.

In a way it is good to be pessimistic. If you think something will go wrong either 1) it goes wrong and you were correct which means it isnt a surprise or 2) it doesnt go wrong which is a pleasent surprise Its a win-win situation
