The 2015 Honda Civic Type R is a high-performance hatchback model developed and produced by Honda. It is powered by a 2.0-liter direct-injected turbo VTEC four-cylinder engine that produces 306 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque at 2500 rpm. The car is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and features adjustable dampers with four modes, Brembo brakes with 13.8-inch front rotors and four-piston calipers, and 19-inch wheels with ultra-low-profile 235/35 tires. The Type R has a top speed of 168 mph and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 5.7 seconds. The car was not available in the United States, but it was based on the European Civic four-door hatchback, which is different from the U.S. model.
