As the owner of a windshield replacement store, I can confirm that all of these methods do work
  • I love how some people are crying about cold engine revving and pouring hot water on cold windshield but no one is saying nothing about windshield flamethrowers lol
  • Make sure to use tape before you drill when you install the home made flame thrower. You wouldnā€™t want to damage the paint.
  • Yes, I've used the boiling water trick, with success. I've also turned on the defroster and cracked the windshield side to side. Also revving your engine against the rev-limiter to save 30 seconds of scraping is likely to cost you like $400 per time. You might get 10 chances at this before your $4000 engine blows up.

what I appreciate most is the number of times you had to wait for the windshield to frost up like that, that's commitment
  • @Farie977
I use the second method but sometimes it gets cold so I usually route the hose into the cabin once I'm done
  • @darthkrator9366
2:45 it works best if you put the hose inside with the windows up while you rev the engine so that the hot air inside melts the ice, that way you donā€™t get cold outside waiting for your windshield to defrost. 5:00 Again it works best from the inside

#1 with the plastic bag was actually clever. You can use the hot water for side windows afterwards too. #2 I feel some neighbours might get the wrong idea and try to stop you before you can defrost the windshield šŸ¤£

Guy in parking lot watching you hook up hoses to the exhaust: "Don't do it man things will get better we can get you some help"
  • @themrkmomo
In the event that anyone is taking this seriously, for the love of god do not pour hot water on a cold windshield. You have a huge chance of cracking it. Love the flamethrower though.
  • @supersquad123
The only problem with the flame thrower idea is that you would have to replace your windshield wipers every time you use it.

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ last method was awesome, so funny, you made my day...Great video šŸ‘

Hitting revlimiter with ice cold engine is INSANE!!
  • @ryancleaver6613
I love how he actually made the flamethrower look good and went through the effort of hiding wires.
  • @Zgronar
I love how in the third one he just redlines the engine straight in sub zero temp. Legend.
  • @Unknown-oz7xs
I have windshield wiper fluid anti frost in the back seat and I just throw that on the rear while having my car do the front. Works like a charm and loved the vids!
  • Me: ā€œOh using the exhaust as a defroster, cool ideaā€ CarHax: makes a freezing cold engine slap the Rev limiter

imagine waking up and seeing ur neighbor connect pipes to his exhaust and lead it to the windshield then u go back inside and hear the limiter going ā€œvwaaaaaaWAWAWAWAWAWAWAā€šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

šŸ¤£šŸ¤£ Hats off for all the time and effort that went into this. Well done guys. Laughed my ass off. šŸ‘šŸ‘
