Clickbait is one of the best series they've made this year.

i thought it was matt the whole time because he was so suspicious

Nick should’ve gone to the cops as he escaped - poor Nick..
  • @TemiDansoArt
What shocked me the most was how much of a ‘photoshop expert’ Dawn is

I just want to say one thing : Poor Nick :(
  • @elenag1257
I was surprised when Emma finally admitted she never personally met Nick...

I loved how Simon realised Nick was innocent and spared him.

there was a lot about the ending that was absolutely infuriating lol but the way the media dragged this family and this man through the mud and we never saw his name get cleared was particularly disturbing to me
  • The biggest twist for me was when it was revealed that Emma never actually met nick
  • @fuckafuckafucka
Poor guy gets cheated, and on top of that the whole universe thinks he is the women’s worst enemy after his demise.

The moral lesson to this series is to never ever tell anyone your password or have someone manage your accounts for you

So if these women never met Nick in real life....what was the point of the photoshopped pics with Nick??? Crazy Dawn photoshopped a pic just so crazy Emma could frame it? Did Emma really believe she had met Nick before? Great series overall

My one huge critique of this show was the fact that Nick didn’t go to the police or his family first, how does confronting Dawn first help?
  • The thing that angered me the most was definitely Dawn and Ed. I don't normally get invested in a show or have strong negative feelings for characters, but this show was really well written and It made me really hate them. I was absolutely disgusted at how a man was tort*red, embarassed and k*lled because Dawn wasn't finding her life fulfilling; she wanted the feeling of people falling in love with her/her words but was careless about other people's feelings when it really came down to it. Her own desire for some sort of relief after her husband walked out becuase he found out she'd been catfishing...she impulsively messaged d*adly words, she knowingly drove a poor woman over the edge. However, no matter how messed up Dawn was, you could tell that she never wanted to hurt Nick (and Kai), at least not physically, but Ed and his impulsiveness, most likely driven by anger, caused him to take away someone's life. He was unapologetic and I hate how he kept blaming Dawn for his own actions, saying how this all came about because of her game, but she really didn't want to harm them, she wasn't the one holding the hammer, nor was she the one that held and shot the gun... Man was as much a lunatic as his wife. At first you may see how Dawn and Ed have drifted apart and have different interests, but you can also see how similar they can be, they are both monsters under their kind and unassuming exterior, both callous and impulsive; Dawn with her words, really weird because everyone IRL thought she was nice, and Ed with his actions, who was introduced as a plain old man who probably couldn't hurt a fly. The writers did a really good at showing how people can be lovely in one part/side of their lives and be absolute monsters in another part/side. Much like how people can be very different online than IRL. The theme carries through multiple facets of the show and this is just one of them.

My favorite part of this movie is how the family went through their disagreements and dealing with their grief as individuals but it never came to cultural blows
  • @hopem2449
This movie was done very well on lots of levels. The suspension, the casting, the mood. I could go on very good.
  • @nkizzle2066
you forgot to mention that the only reason dawn started catfishing with his pictures is because she saw a notification on his phone from a dating site and decided to log in to his profile since she already knew his password
  • @Zervas123
Ending was just so odd, dawn’s husband goes from being this innocent model train enthusiast to a killer? A guy who shoots at kids(Kai)? All bc of what? No one just turns into a killer after finding out they’re spouse is into some weird things.
