Back when I was in college I wouldn't drink during house parties. One time, as I dealt with drunk friends, and was a bit exhausted, my roommate came over to me. Drunkenly, he said, "You're the Space Lion, making sure all the stars are in the right places." As if I didn't love this song already, that has stuck with me for 18 years.

The first track always makes me think of jet and spike looking for the beta deck for hours and then coming back to the ship and realizing they got a vhs by mistake.

Space Lion most definitely deserves to be the #1 song in Cowboy Bebop. It's such a spiritual song and it really makes you feel like you are a part of the bebop realm

Space Lion......oh gosh - just watching the scene, the story, hearing the characters lines along with this music in the background - holy cow...I don't think I've seen anything more amazingly cinematic than that in a very very very long time. I had chills at that episode - jeese it was so good.

Space lion 😩 something about the way episode 13 just kind of drifts off into the credits while the screen pans up into the stars is so.. spiritual

i was obsessed with Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo during their run. They took anime to both new and old places, really evolved their characters storylines and weren't afraid to show the best and worst of each one. Cowboy only eased out in front favorite place 'cause I love me some jazz!

I absolutely adore the demo version of "Rain" (the female vocal one in this video), as well as "Gotta Knock a Little Harder" from the film.

I agree a lot with Space Lion in Top 1. A little sad that Road To The West isnt here, but it was a great top. Congrats !!
