Here's a primer on the peace plan that, for now, has unprecedented international support. It's made up of three phases. The first phase would include the release of some hostages, the return of Palestinian prisoners and partial troop withdrawal, under a six-week truce. The second phase includes a permanent cease-fire. That would mean the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip. The third phase would focus on a plan to rebuild Gaza.

While Blinken has said that some of the counterproposals from Hamas are unacceptable, we still have no information on what those amendments call for.

Why would Hamas ever accept the terms of the cease fire? they're ironically enjoy palestinians causulties. for them the more casualties - the bigger the pressure and the condemnation towoards Israel, and the possibility of sanctions.

The proposal on the table is fine except there is no mention of the vision of final resolution by that I mean two state solution.

I am not symphatizing hamas terrorist but why would hamas agree with this? Just release hostage in first phase and get bombarded from second phase? Nobody would agree that. What would hamas get from it? Nothing except to release the hostage.
