Pelicans in St James Park, London 20th January 2024.

It's a bitterly cold winter late afternoon in St James Park in London. The time is about 4.15pm and to my surprise I see the pelicans are at the end of the lake near Buckingham Palace. They seem to be relaxed and peacefully grooming their feathers or just sitting still. I wonder how they keep warm?
