A few weeks ago I switched from the BF Goodrich KO2 to the Falken Wildpeak AT3W for my Mercedes Sprinter / Winnebago Revel. I also switched to a new set of rims, same Method Race MR701 the van had before but instead of black, I went with Bronze...

Great video and I love the color of the Method wheels. One thing I do NOT understand is why MB calls that color way “Pebble Gray”; it’s Tan !!

I've have the Wildpeaks AT3 on my Van (non Revel) for about 6 years now and they performed good. They are quieter than the KOs i had on my older truck. I distinctly remember a humming type of noise on the KOs i didnt like. The Wildpeaks have gone up in price over the years. Bronze wheels look good.

Thank you so much for posting this and all your amazing Revel videos. I just went through this for the last several months dealing with the crazy road noise from K02s and here are my thoughts : First of all, I have K02 on my Jeep Wrangler and they run amazing and the road noise is acceptable but on the Revel because of all that extra weight, the whine and hum is just unbearable from the K02 and makes driving long distances very fatiguing on the ears. I appreciate people have different sensitivities to noise levels and the Revel cabin is already very noisy - (I just got back a long road trip and measured 90db(!) as the average cabin noise with a phone app traveling at 60mph). However the K02 are at their nosiest cruising at 30-40mph and sound like a helicopter flying above the cabin when slowing down to these speeds. I understand all terrain tires get louder as they age but after trying to balance, rotate at 5, 10, 15 ,20k , having them re-aligned and eventually putting a brand new pair of K02 on with exactly the same noise problems , I almost threw in the towel until BF Goodrich said they would partially credit me for any new tires of my choosing. So I just put on the Falken Wildpeak from recommendations in the FB Revel group and the difference is night and day. FYI - You will never be able to record the audio difference with your camera and have it reproduced accurately by tv speakers or headphones. But you are correct, I believe it is to do with the compound used and the frequency the different tires threads produce in the wheel well that travels up through the cabin. Discount Tires were very helpful and they actually let me test the Cooper 245 AT3s as well (which had the same noise reduction as the Falken) but they didn't have the same aggressive look, so I choose the Falken's in the end. My opinion is Winnebago should not be using the K02s on the Revel - the FB Revel group is littered with people who cant abide the K02! But there are a lot of things that Winnebago should do but they don't - can we talk about the horrible plastic plumbing fittings they use that crack and leak everywhere?! You should do a video about converting all the plastic fittings to brass under the bench ! Ok rant over :) Keep up the amazing work!

Definitely like the bronze wheels, I have the grey Revel and the flat black wheels just don't look right. As with most revel owners I wish a better solution for noise was available without going to a strictly street tire.

Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed your video. Would you please share the wheel and tire size? I’m still using the factory wheel and tire on my 2021 2500 2WD. I have been researching and comparing the 2 so this video is very helpful.

I really love your videos, I learned a lot about the revel watching you working on it. I have the same model/color that you have. I was really interested in installing the SOG (I think that’s the name) for the cassette toilet, I think the version they sell now is a little different than the one you installed, or am I missing something?

Did the fuel economy stay the same between the two tires? Great video by the way, thumbs up from me.

Is your spare tire also 245/70/17? I was wondering if the Sprinter OEM undermount spare tire basket can support this size. Thank You!
