    Thanks for the review. I agree with so much that you've said. I did read the first book before this and so didn't have the same issues with following the story and the start. Really interesting how reading the story from different perspectives changed who I routed for. Can't wait for part 3, and how Sogolon, the characters, and their world conclude.

    Great review! I really loved Sogolon as a character and I love the second half so much more than first half of the book as I found some parts very slow. I would give the book a solid 7/10 but you should definitely try out Black Leopard, Red Wolf as I found the book a much better read but difficult read at the same time. It more fast paced and I was never bored but there were some moments where it can get confusing. I would give Black Leopard, Red Wolf a 10/10 though 😊

    I am in the middle of this book right now, at the end of the first part, about 250 pages in. It's not an easy read so far. I hope Sogolon will get some more character development, because so far she is only being a victim again and again but she doesn't know yet who she is herself. I will keep going because James's skill as a writer shines through in the text. Thanks for your review.
