Now, I travel to the train station in the bustling refinery town of Martinez to watch some action along the railroad, which includes a plethora of Amtrak trains, a Union Pacific freight train, and a little more, simply intended to whet one's appetite. Once again, this railroad is the UP Martinez Subdivision (so aptly named), with the western terminus of the UP Tracy Subdivision just a short distance east of the platform.
