Syd was a genuine artist. His visual art is absorbing. I went up to his retrospective in Brick Lane a decade ago. Each piece was saturated in artistic sensibility - so ALIVE....and very beautiful. As was he.

Crazy... Roger Waters was 24 in this video, the same age I went to see him at a concert two years ago with my father who was 4 years old when this was recorded. It was a wonderful experience to see Waters, a 75 year old man who played songs since my father was a baby.

So young and so talented. Syd left very early, first from reality and then from the band. But we all remember him. It's good that the Pink Floyd helped him financially.
