It was a disaster from the word go, we make a delivery in omaha Nebraska and we find the rudest people I've ever dealt with on the road.

Thank you for watching

  • Kurt lets get rich and invent an app for truckers to rate shippers and brokers!!
  • "Can I just go home." Said by every honest trucker driver in his career, me included.
  • My son drives for a big company here in Canada. He handles just northern Ontario and Quebec. He has been doing this for a long time now and thank God he has never had any major problems. When I said northern Ontario I really meant north. I used to worry about him when the weather blows in off the Great Lakes but he seems to have no problems with it. After watching your videos I have even greater respect for what he does so thank you, sir. Stay safe and keep the shiny side up.

Shippers and receivers need to be held accountable with detention pay! And they should all provide access to a bathroom. Not a port a potty.
  • @Torsee
Got to love the attention of a dog. Makes everything better.

Another job well done, I can watch you all day and don’t be fearful of obstacles that come your way.🤟You have got to be the most cool-tempered man in trucking. I think it’s great how calm and cool you stay, no matter the situation. 🤟👍

I met a few of those kind of people in my 47 years of trucking in Canada and the USA . I retired 9 month ago at the age of 70 and I am so happy about that. If new drivers coming on board could see all the BS you have to put up with they would never become a truck driver!
  • I have to say I'm a long time subscriber and first time commenter. You truly are a good man. I have no doubt you have your moments as we all do but really sir, you are a blessing in the industry and more importantly a blessing to your family and friends. As a former driver I know how challenging it can be out there.. And I just wanted to say Thank you for taking us along for the ride, I appreciate all the time and effort you put in to the videos. Many blessings to you and your family. Thanks again sir. Best regards..Chris from Illinois.

Greetings Mr Schmidt! I just found your channel yesterday 6/21/24 and I feel there’s a reason for things happening in our lives and your YouTube channel was one of them!…I’ve been binge watching nothing but YOUR videos since finding your channel, and, needless to say I have proudly subscribed! You have a beautiful family, a gorgeous truck (and, yes, I agree paying $40k + for a truck is insanity!). I’m 71 years old, a 38 year retired owner operator and I’ve been across this country and back more times than I wanna remember having worked and pulled practically every type trailer there is with the exception of rolling parking lot trailers (scared of heights!). Retiring in 2015, and after nine long years of climbing the walls to get back out onto the open road again, I will be doing so soon…only it’ll be in a 2024 GMC SIERRA 2500 4WD DURAMAX 6.6 LITRE DIESEL ENGINE AT4 XAEV CREW CAB sporting a NORTHSTAR 850SC truck camper on the back and definitely not in a big truck! I’m very anxious to explore the back roads that I rarely got to see before, all I missed due to tight schedules, interstate jungle traveling, etc, and, even visiting places again I enjoyed while I ‘was’ trucking. Your fur babies are a joy to see in your videos and also the love you and your family give to them! I could go on and on but I’ll stop rambling for now and get back to watching this video! Safe travels, God bless, and, I’ll see you in the next one! ~Jim in Houston,Tx~ youtube.com/c/TOTALLYRELAXED
  • In the words of Patrick Swayze in Road House: "Be nice...until its time to not be nice." And charge them detention time. There are appointments for a reason.
  • Schmit videos are full of love and encouraging words and everything come on now we don’t terret down we lift up we stay strong even though it’s hard we encourage one another. I’ll always have your back friend
  • Sorry for your bad experience in Nebraska. Ive traveled the country a few times over but have lived in NE my entire life. I like to think we have some of the friendliest, most thoughtful people in the country. Omaha and Lincoln are different animals. Stay safe out there. Hope you have a better experience next time you're in the Cornhusker state.

It’s funny to watch Schmidt get confused about a roll down door. Knowing damn well if I got swing doors I would be just as confused hahahaha enjoy the weekend buddy you deserve it

Im realy glad i found your channel, my fellow trucker. I drove a truck for 32 years and i miss being on the road. Thank you for the fine content, and a special thank you for keeping your language clean.
  • I worked 20 years in a company that had the most rude persons in shipping. I sometimes had to get on to them, some of the best people I've met were truckers.

Ho boy what a ride. Thanks for letting me tag along. Glad you are feeling a bit better. Truly there is no place like home. Enjoy your days off with the family. Hope you catch some fish. Never heard of ice hole fishing myself. Opie sure makes everything worthwhile. Nothing like the love of your dog. Safe driving my friend

When I was a warehouseman from 1989-1995 at Americold in San Francisco, always treated all the truckers with respect, enjoyed chatting it up with folks from all over the country and Canada.

I’ve been to a few of these places... I never go back. I tell my boss to blacklist them for me...
