Kaila just went about her own way despite people doubting her or talking down to her, yet she made the final 3, would certainly have been interesting if she had featured in the most recent season to see where she's at now compared to this series.

There’s no doubt that Kaila can be seen as weird with her eyes always so big and her bubbly attitude at all times and just some random comments (like her bronzer for the fries) but she is so talented. Everyone doubted her and she ended up in top 3. She knows what she’s doing, and I love that for her.

Season 1 is unbeaten. Truly entertaining thanks to the dynamics between the contestants. Not gonna lie, Kayla and Eric carried it. Who doesn't want to see 2 cats hissing at each other?

It always irritated me how condescending some of the other contestants were with Kaila. She might've been annoying to some but she can cook. Instead of slighting a person you perceive as weaker, let your skill speak for itself. In my opinion, they were all really threatened by her.

I mean, Kaila wasn't perfect but I do feel that everyone was a bit too snooty to her sometimes. I'm glad she got really far and proved everyone wrong.

She's like that quiet girl who would get bullied alot but at the end she turns to be such a brilliant and awesome and really underestimated person who was doubted and who crushed it

This is a controversial statement but Kaila deserved to be in the finale instead of Marida. She was more creative with her dishes and Marida cooked trinidadian dishes for the majority of the competition.

Fun fact: Throughout the 6 seasons of MC Canada (not including Season 7 because the season is the comebacks of previous contestants) Kaila got the record for being in Pressure Test a lot every time there's a team challenge. She's only manage to skip One Pressure Test on the Restaurant Takeover challenge thanks to Tammara's leadership. Also, Tammara is the only MC Canada contestant who's never been in Pressure Test until she got eliminated on Top 4.

i think after she perfectly cooked the calf’s brain, is when people started seeing her as somewhat as a threat, since that was one of the most difficult things to cook.
