I like that there’s an olympic sport where older people can win and not only 20-30 year olds

This is the sport my mom would be proud of me for playing

I know Curling was invented in Scotland during the 16th century but every time I see it I can't help but think of it as a sport some janitors came up with in a bowling alley.
  • This was an absolute surprise, considering curling is one of Canada's favorite sport and that it was at the vancouver olympics

What kind of sport is it? Why are there two people sweeping the floor?

The objective of this game is to get the rounded stone to slide and curl into the bull's eye. The thrower will do her best to push it to whichever angle she deems fit (and naturally, the stone will start to curl as it moves along), the other two girls will try to 'guide' the sliding stone into the bull's eye by brushing the ice sheet. Brushing the ice sheet will make it 'smoother' for the stone to travel faster and more in a straight line. It takes teamwork for the 3 girls to try their best to get the stone into the bull's eye.

It takes a pandemic to make the curling interesting :)

People saying they're overreacting when they've won an olympic gold medal in a sport they've been practicing a large chunk of their lives... Obviously not athletes of any kind.

Is the shouting required when the person is literally right next to the their team mate?
