Welcome to my Journey to Supersonic Legend. The final goal I wish to achieve in Rocket League. With help from a new mod that forces me to train and earn points that I can spend on Ranked Queues, I'm about to get better at a rate I've never gotten better at before.

If you want to try out the controller I use, go to bit.ly/EswapCbell

This is going to be the biggest project I've ever worked on.. and I hope I can make it amazing for you to be a part of. HUGE THANKS to Lynxi for the ending cinematic, he's a master. (make sure to watch the last 20 seconds at least). Oh and I'll really need your ideas on what else I can add to the "shop" as purchasables. Or anything else cool you think I should add. Also, if this video got a like for every hour I've put on Rocket League... wait that's actually a lot.

Sweet this is gonna be longer than a Netflix series

1s should be 300, so you force people to play it more and improve

As an SSL player myself, I would say I probably spend around the same amount of time if not more time in freeplay rather than actual matches. It helps a lot for just becoming consistent and practicing awkward situations by just chasing the ball around. You can improve really fast by just going in freeplay whenever you aren’t in game. Make sure you spend enough time training and don’t just queue games whenever you can if you wanna actually get better at the game. It will take time and it’s important for improvement. Hope this helps whoever reads this and good luck with the grind 👍

I saw a guy say you should get points for coaching instead of paying, but I think a more effective thing would be 500 point payment, and at the end of the session, if the coach is happy, you get a 1000 back, but if not, you get 0 back
  • You should add an option where you provide a game you played and receive a professional analysis on the game of where and when you should have done something different, I think this will help you improve your game sense. Another cool idea would be an option where you could see transparent clips of pros hitting good mechanical shots and you trying to replicate them until you actually hit them, this way you would be able to get up to the standards of SSL players. Also, good luck on the journey!

Perhaps introducing a scoring system that rewards you for executing the specific techniques the training packs have in mind it could enhance the gameplay experience. For instance, successfully executing a double tap could earn additional points, as could accurately hitting a designated spot on the wall with the first touch and achieving precise placement in the goal. This approach prioritizes skill mastery over simply completing tasks within a set timeframe like you get 1000 point pr. 33 minutes at the moment. Furthermore, incentivizing you to learn new mechanics could significantly enhance your skill development. From personal experience, I've found that mastering seemingly useless mechanics for my rank like air dribbling, at a lower rank (gold), can greatly improve overall car control and proficiency. Implementing a system where you earn points or rewards for mastering new mechanics encourages exploration and growth, fostering a more dynamic and rewarding learning environment. Additionally, incorporating achievements or timed challenges within workshop maps could further enrich the gameplay experience. Emphasizing speed and efficiency in executing aerial maneuvers, for instance, could be more rewarding than solely focusing on aesthetic aspects, like spinning or make is so you have to only use air roll right. Also make it show you get points for watching pros play, because rocket league is not just about mechanics but how effect you use them and how easy you make it for yourself. Please lower cost for 1's, must useful game mode for consentience. Edit: Points for analyzing your own games, from for example birds eyes view.

I've been watching your videos here and there but this one in particular had me invested and earned my subscription. Can't wait to see how much better you can get!

Love this video, and series idea!! I just hope you will share the mod eventually for those of us that want to use it to improve as well! I do think that the cost for a 1's game should be lower than the rest though since it helps you improve your overall gameplay way more than just queueing 2's and 3's though. Other than that, I can't wait for the next episode!

Finally, been waiting for some CBell content with your own gameplay again!

For every 10,000 points you get you have to touch grass

Closing in on 4k hours (<1% idle time, like 90% solo casual 2s, like 8% training, 1% ranked), stuck with old gold titles because I don't play ranked due to ranked anxiety and semi retired after f2p. I would very much like that plugin to help me conquer my fear and also finally reach SSL. I can do it, but I'm scared and just a little too sloppy so that plugin would definitely help. Spent all of Feb de-rusting (exactly 100hrs training) and did nothing with it. My wacky ground tech has come back stronger than ever but it's still not enough. You can do this, CBell! If not just for yourself, but for all the old OG players that got hardstuck GC like me <3 Edit: Oml that cinematic at the end was :chef_kiss: damn

I got into rocket league in 2022, and I think this is like the first video I happened to passively see that wasn't just me feeling like the rocket league community is over, everything is dead, watched a video from Rizzo about how RL has been abandoned recently I just didn't know how to feel about this game. And like MAN it's REALLY NICE to just see some of the content creators just working on playing the game still and what not and having faith it FEELS LIKE from my perspective as someone so new to all of this community and being afraid to really expand deeper and really give it my all for a while but just getting back to trying to get my fundamentals down and still struggling with what most would consider basic mechanics after a thousand hours (my current time in the game) I like to look up videos on how to begin learning mechanics of the game but YT Algorithm and how it works with me being an seo professional of over a decade, I keep running into the issue of seeing all the negativity and me being afraid that "This new game that I want to experience the joys of failure" is now a game where I'm just not sure if it's going to be alive long enough for me to get fulfilment out of my time investment into the game with wanting to be decent at the game in general. I think seeing this specific video from specifically you CBell has single handedly restored my faith in the future of what I wanna do with my time in rocket league so I guess thank you for doing what you do and putting the time, effort, patience and faith in something that you want to continue with.

I think rewarding your wins with points will be detrimental in the long run. If you encounter people who have similar skills to yours, you'll probably start playing it safe instead of taking risks (by risks, I mean trying things you're not 100% comfortable with). When I was grinding, all I ever heard from coaches was that I needed to play focused on what I wanted to improve, looser, and faster than I usually play.
  • @D3ADYYY
"I can't coach Emmie so let meh coach myself"
  • This is epic. I see a lot of my own issues in yours. Its inspiring to see you grind them away.
  • @SweeperCreations
this is genuinely such a sick idea, I feel like I haven't seen an RL video this neat in a long ass time also, Lynxi did sooo great on those visuals at the end!!
