The 3DS was always pushing its power with these ports and the newer games as it went on. The full xenoblade 1 portable? Was insane for its time. 3DS had a rocky start, but it always kept trying with its titles as each year went on until switch.

Out of the all of the ports and remakes for the 3ds, i think super paper mario was the missed opportunity. In the game you could switch between 2d and 3d. This with the 3d effect of the console would have been of much help to hint you clues and maybe puzzles.

As a Year of Luigi fan boy, I can confirm that I love two monkeys especially if they exist on a 3DS

Very impressive how Scott is able to port a full Scott The Woz episode on Scott's stash. I'm being serious these quick thought videos got so much more effort than credit is given.

I remember buying Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D as a kid and thinking it was a completely new and different game to the Wii version. It took me a while to realize that it was just a port of the Wii game.

I think Scott’s way off base here about Pilotwings Resort. It’s a full, proper Pilotwings game with the resort flyover as just a tacked on extra. It takes a fair amount of effort to unlock all the stages and get three stars on them. It’s basically the same idea as SNES and N64 Pilotwings, and it works perfectly here. It’s definitely one of my favorite 3DS games.

"same thing we experienced in 2023 and 2024 as that system was winding down" Scotts a time traveler confirmed

The Xenoblade port to the 3DS was amazing , to fit a game that big with in depth works on a tiny chip is insane. It was insane on the Wii but blew my mind on the 3DS

Are we not gonna mention 22:25? "... the same thing we experienced with the Nintendo Switch in 2023 and 2024 as that system began winding down." Scott is really going the extra mile to make sure this video ages well XD

This genre of Scott’s Stash videos are the coziest things ever. I love watching these at 1am on my carpet next to my small shelf of games.

I fell in love with Xenoblade thanks to the 3DS port. I know it’s not perfect; but it was great for someone who’s as always enthralled by the things I’d seen from Xeno but could never find the Wii copy

This is the best Wii Games on Nintendo 3DS By Scott's Stash's of all time
  • The followup to Wii U Games on Switch that we did not deserve yet Scott made anyway because it’s his Ohioan duty.

the psvita version of rayman origins is actually great. it’s pretty much 100% uncompromised (except multiplayer i think). you can tap a lot of the stage elements or pop the lum bubbles with the touch screen so you don’t actually have to walk up to them and physically interact with them. i think it makes for a much more synergistic gameplay experience than the console versions.

I would have loved to see Nintendo make a remake of Super Mario 64 on 3DS similar to how they remade Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64. I know that Mario 64 already had a version on the DS, but they could have truly made the best version of the game on it.
  • It still baffles me that Nintendo had to make an entirely New Nintendo 3DS in order to run Xenoblade Chronicles Wii on it but also sacrifice some graphics aswell because base 3DS wasn't outputting enough power but the extra content added tho on the Port was a pretty damn good addtion.
  • Anouncing a Donkey Kong game on Valentine Day... you're not telling me Nintendo didn't know Donkey Kong was the enemy of virginity after that.

I thought it was ingenious the games they decided to port from Wii to 3DS, all of the games were bangers and really helped introduce it to a new audience.
