Scariest Hike in Glacier National Park? On the Edge of Mt Reynolds in 4K!

Published 2022-09-16
Mt. Reynolds (or Reynolds Mountain) is an epic peak in Glacier National Park near the Logan Pass visitor's center. Because of extreme exposure, this hike (climb) is not recommended for families with young kids, novices, or those afraid of exposure, open expanses, or heights. Watch in 4k as we ascend/descend from the summit, walking along a precipice with over 1000+ vertical feet of sheer drop below us. If you attempt this, please download and understand your route options before you go (www.climbglacier.com/ has some good details on routes). AllTrails will take you to the saddle between Reynolds and the Dragon's Tail but beyond that, you're on your own!

  • 14 times i summited that peak.... in my opinion? the best summit view in the park. views of Lake McDonald, St. Mary Lake, Hidden Lake, the Garden Wall, and Logan Pass...... and the climb is as fun as any other (you can avoid an uphill scree climb, using it for descending). the exposure is exhilarating, yet fairly safe. Love this climb!!

Beautiful climb and lovely video. The descent is the hard part and compulsory. You all did fine with your hands and feet, but PLEASE no bulky packs with stuff hanging loose and poking out.
  • This is incredible and I am dizzy watching it. I thought the dragon tail kicked my ass. This is over the top

I don't know how you guys are still alive. Wow!

Yeah, I’m stopping where the class 3 part starts too. And then, that descent… holy shit!

I just read about a youngish guy that died climbing this mountain this past week. I wonder if he died going up this way or the way you guys first started? This is a great video that shows how easy something can go wrong. I’m glad your crew knew their limits and when to stop and I’m happy you guys made it back down safe

Insane, too much loose rock. I glad none of you got killed. I'm an experience rock climber and this would be a no go for me.

Going up isn’t the scary part going down is what is terrifying.
  • Great video. What was the scariest part going up or coming down?

What camera are you using, the quality is awesome - very stable.

Inappropriate clothing and footwear. For this there should be helmets. You are giving totally wrong images. Stop.
