How to Align Your Polar Scope on Your Equatorial Mount

If you have room outdoors, it would be best to do that because you can get better distance (50'+). Just find something that you can lock your crosshairs on that you can easily see through your polar scope. Then just follow these same instructions.

Thank you, this helped me solve my alignment issue with the built in polar scope. That grub screw change out tip was great.. If anyone wanted to know, you will need: 3x M3 x 15 to 20mm socket head screws.

Wish I saw this when I first bought the mount. I've been using my finder scope and SharpCap pro to assist with polar alignment with good success. Despite that, now that I have a firm grasp of this I'd like to try the polar scope again. I figure that I can still align using the automated method but I'd like to peer in the polar scope before and after doing that procedure to see if the it concurs with the software.
