They don't know what caused the explosion? I would say it was the crashing rail cars filled with propane. But that's just me.
  • @phillydisco
I'm guessing that was Wile E Coyote trying to catch the Road Runner with a box labelled TNT.

This is precisely how the Armaments train blew up in Roseville, California, in April, 1973. The towering mushroom cloud and shock wave convinced everyone it was a nuclear detonation. Surprise, just 3 60K gallon freight cars of propane, in turn detonating 24 rail cars of bombs headed for Vietnam.

I was painting a window trim and look towards the west ...big fire ball too. Later on found out it was a derailment.

Angry Karen at 0:46 driving the minivan: "I don't give a F___ if there's an explosion! I'm late for my hair appointment!!"
  • Yeah, look at all that smoke. And they're Testing the air quality and there's no problem with the air sure.

Another reason why you don't want to stand too close to passing trains. If it is a "bomb" train and derails, something like this could happen. Brings new meaning to BBQing with propane.
  • How can he say there are no issues with air quality when issue is clearly visible by the naked eye!
