About National Geographic:
National Geographic is the world's premium destination for science, exploration, and adventure. Through their world-class scientists, photographers, journalists, and filmmakers, Nat Geo gets you closer to the stories that matter and past the edge of what's possible.

One example is the annual “Round Up,” when the family joins with a group of wranglers to herd their horses to lower elevations for the winter. This exhaustive three-day ritual could be simplified with modern technology, but the practice endures as a testimony to their way of life. In this short film by Kristopher Rey-Talley, join the Kelsey family in Montana as they embark on their yearly trip with the horses through the land they cherish.

Driven by his love for horses, Kameron Kelsey makes a living at the 9 Quarter Circle Ranch spending time with these magnificent animals. What are your thoughts on Kameron's way of life?
  • @saturn724
Horses are a gift from God. Horses have always been a symbol of beauty and nobility across cultures.
  • I feel privileged to have met Kameron Kelsey when he came to our ranch and purchased one of our colts for their ranch. He is truly a testament to the old style ranch life.

I'd cherish everyday to have this lifestyle, I've always dreamt about owning my own horse ranch one day but it's hard to get into one if you weren't born into it.

I love it, what a blessed guy doing what he loves and a big sky Montana, no money can't buy that

Horses are such beautiful animals. The way how they move and make a sound

If more people from the big cities and surrounding suburbs understood how tough life on the ranch/farm is... I'd like to think they would show more respect.

What struck me(after the beautiful horses)was his humility. Just a guy doing what he loves, every person’s dream.

Really well made video, hats off

Although I like this video very much the title of this video is misleading. These are not wild horses they are Appaloosas that are bred, raised, trained and used for the dudes at the 9 Quarter Circle dude ranch. That is what makes this ranch so intriguing to me is the reliance on the Appaloosa horse and I applaud the ranch for this as the Appaloosa breed has been neglected for quite some time. It is great to see so many of these particular horses in one place. Thank you for the video but consider a name change.

I like this guy a lot, he does not think of himself as a very special person. He is contrary to what many youth's today are or at least think they are... as special snowflake. However he still is proud over what he does and strives to live a great life. Wish more people including me would be more like him.
