Back in July of 2023, we booked last minute flights to catch the erupting volcano in Iceland. After two failed attempts at getting close enough to the crater to fly, we finally made it. We spent the entire night in the glow of the volcano flying FPV through the crater.

This was one of the most intense flying I have ever done. Flying drones through the spraying lava is all about luck. There are so many uncontrollable elements that could take the drone out at any moment. But on my last couple packs, I finally got my bucket shot.
