I spent over 2 months in the hospital receiving multiple rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant and then over a year quarantined in my home, and this prayer brought me great comfort. It taught me to completely surrender to God's will, knowing how much he loves us. At diagnosis I was give 2 months to live, at most. That was almost 7 years ago. Even with treatment, my odds of surviving were about 20%. Today I'm cancer-free. God is so very Good.

The our father is the grieving up our free will and asking God to take over in all areas of life!! Over our lives & over our country!!

I’m listening again a year later. Since my first comment I’ve officially become a Catholic, lost my earthly father, and become a daily pray-er of rosaries and novenas. Well, almost daily. I’m also donating to several Catholic charities, although I’m praying for an improvement in my own prospects so I can contribute more. May thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

It took 48 years to hear that the "daily bread" is not simply my daily resources. Supersubstantial bread really is a mouthful!

A prayer we say every week at Mass, and I admit a prayer that I just say and not contemplate, thank u for the reminder of the actual words of this most cherished prayer

Once again God's word is preached with grace and eloquence by the Bishop. Thank you. And may God be with you too.

"Our Father..." One could spend time on praying over the word "our", and how that impacts our life and relationships with others.

This talk on the Lord’s prayer was great! A grace that came to me about the lords prayer is when we say forgive Me my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against Me. It did not say I need to forgive myself. For years I had regretted how I treated my wife before she died. I could not forgive myself but one time Bishop Brennan of the Columbus diocese gave a homily and said” The lords prayer doesn’t say you need to forgive yourself it says you need to forgive others and God forgives you” I was enlightened by the Holy Spirit because I realized I was forgiven! I presented this to Bishop Brennan and he took it with him when he went to New York to be the new bishop there. I also was approached by another man who was his wife and he felt the same way.
