That will be a great shade garden. Planted a Drinking Gourd Hosta two years ago died after one winter replaced it with three more this spring and they’re growing slow too.
  • A manual half moon edger is a inexpensive way for me to keep my edges looking good; just the tool and pretty easy labor involved!

😂😂 I’ve done the same, started an area and left it and then had to start all over again!! I really laughed out loud when you showed it cause I thought I was the only one that would put that much work into something and then not maintain it 🤦‍♀️! But with the size and wildness of our yards and so many areas to plant it’s hard to keep up. I don’t know what I would do if it wasn’t for the ‘no dig’ method! I planted probably 30 Hostas 3 years ago and it took for this year to really explode but we have had the wettest spring in a long time. Since the heat has started we have been deep watering them every 2-3 days, so try and get as much water on them as you can. Mine are going to need dividing next year. I planted a Dappled Willow which I think is what you call a Nashiki? 3 years ago and this year it hadn’t reached a foot high!! It was smaller than when I planted it 🤷🏻‍♀️ It was only receiving about 2 hrs of full sun a day and dappled sun the rest. So now that we have started on our front yard area I moved it to full sun and in a week it has grown. Find the sunniest place in your yard and give it a new home, trust me it will never do well there and depress you every time you see it. Great video Mya, glad you are not afraid to show real life gardening. Take care Brenda🇨🇦
