Whilst I have a rather different world view from the late great Johnny Cash, I'm nevertheless a big fan. He's the reason I first picked up a guitar in 2003.

I always wanted to see live concert footage, but with good clear sound, so decided to synchronise the sound from my CD with TV footage available on Youtube. Easier said than done though... The TV footage is faster and about a whole tone higher in pitch, so I had to slow the video down to match it with the audio.

There is no footage available for the introduction and end of the song, so I added a few relevant images.

I know I'm blatantly flaunting copyright guidlines, but I reckon a few people might like this so much that they go out and buy the CD... like I did when I first heard the Man in Black on the radio!

Johnny Cash doesn't play country music, he plays Johnny Cash music. He is his own genre of music. A master.

W.S Holland, the last living member of this lineup, died two weeks ago at the age of 85. Johnny and his band are reunited again and rocking out together once more in Heaven. RIP W.S., Bob, Marshall and of course, the 'Man in Black' himself.

Johnny was a certified legend and oozed bad-assness. The older I get the more I appreciate his performances.

Merle haggard was an inmate when Johnny Cash performed this. Merle cited this performance as his inspiration to turn his life around and start playing music.

Johnny Cash was a true performer who connected with his audience. Didn't matter what the audience.
