China/Iran/Russia are not in an alliance with each other. They just simply agree to not get in each other's way and assist one another when mutually convenient.

"And as the United States commited several strategic blunders in Iraq and Afghanistan..." That's a polite way of putting it.
  • as a Persian-Russo-Chinese person, I am the physical embodiment of the axis powers
  • You are absolutely wrong about Iran and China not having a historic relationship. The silk road trade was so Successful and important to both countries that Persian became one of the official languages of Yuan Dynasty in China

When you order the Axis off of Wish.

Iran and China had very close relations since Parthian dynasty in Iran and the Han dynasty in China. Iran guaranteed the western end of the Silk Road and provided a safe land route to the European and Mediterranean market and China’s manufacturing provided the basis of a very lucrative trade route from which all benefited. This relationship only collapsed in recent history when West European countries discovered shipping routes that precluded the land route. Recent relations between Iran and China seek to renew this ancient relationship.

excellent work and analysis, thanks ❤
  • It's so strange seeing actual world history like this happen before my eyes, some people say "history" stopped when the cold war ended, but history is an ongoing story.

12:57 - the image representing Iran is that of Hassan Rouhani, former president of Iran. His term ended in 2021. The current president is Ebrahim Raisi, but the country's supreme leader is Ali Khameini.

Chinese people want to ask a question: Has the United States accused Israel of committing human rights violations by slaughtering civilians in Gaza? Has the United States accused Israel of its aggression against Palestine over the years? It's best not to talk about "human rights" every day if you can't achieve equal treatment.

Now I have to question all the history stuff coming out of this channel

SEATO is a good example of how an alliance might collapse simply because you don't share the same security concerns.

Your videos are amazing. Thank you. Stay safe people. 👊

A good summary of the history between world powers and its relationship with contemporary geopolitics. Being students of history, it's no surprise the Kings and Generals team can navigate politics so readily. After all, history is essentially the story of politics over time... with the occassional natural disaster and pandemic thrown in. We can never discount nature's ability to throw a curve ball at the best laid plans of humankind. I'm enjoying the modern content but also love the historical stuff, so keep up all the good work!
  • A "blunder" is when I forget to call my mom on her birthday. When I contrive a mass hysteria about nuclear weapons to justify an invasion and military occupation of Iraq it's called "war crimes and crimes against humanity."

They don't reject human rights. They reject the use of human rights issues—genuine or contrived—to justify the undermining or destruction of governments.
