Why I Won't Introduce Solids Any Other Way | TOP 10 FIRST FOODS FOR BABY | Baby Led Weaning

Curious about Baby Led Weaning? In this video, I’m sharing my experiences using BLW for introducing solids and why I never use puree baby food. I’m also sharing my favorite first foods for baby.

Foods before one are just for fun but it’s also the perfect time to prime baby’s palate. The first baby led weaning foods I love are full of nutrition that babies love!

Now, a big thing parents are concerned about when considering solid baby food over spoon feeding purees is baby choking. In this video we talk about gagging vs choking and how gagging is a very common and protective response when babies first start to eat.

Enjoy this video about baby led weaning benefits and how to do it with your little one!

Bridget, you’re the best, thank you for all your information and encouragement! Just had my baby in July, she’s now 2 months old. I followed you all throughout my pregnancy and will continue to get your advice as I navigate being a first time mom ♥️
  • @HBoyzFan
Really enjoyed the info in the video. We started w/ a combo approach of purées and solid foods, but still in the BLW approach of having her explore and feed herself. It’s been really fun watching her growth in exploring and dexterity in not knowing what to do with the spoon to eagerly anticipating what’s coming

O my goodness I would LOVE more videos on this! Bridget you are amazing. I followed you all through pregnancy and your videos helped so much and I JUST started baby led weaning 2 weeks ago with my 6 month old but still feel unsure of what I’m doing lol. This helped so much!
  • Just saying I’m a ftm and I watched you my whole pregnancy to help me get through and now my baby is almost 6 months and you’re helping me get through this new stage ♥️ thank you!

Amazing! You are so helpful Bridget! Thank you for this video. I've been following you since pregnancy but have had limited time to watch new videos since giving birth and oh how I've missed you! Thank you for being the little voice in the back of my mind during labor, breastfeeding, etc. My baby girl is now 6 months old and I knew right where to come for advice on this new feeding adventure. You always have such a wealth of information, great research and the best demeanor for delivering advice. I appreciate you and the time you take to help me and so many others. May God bless you for sharing your gifts! Many, many thanks Mama 😘

My friend at church was just telling me about this. Glad you made a video on it.
  • Bridget thank you for this video. I find that my baby 8 months, but I realized that even at 6months he didn't like much of the puree foods, he wants to eat what we are having.
  • @mamabird129
Very interesting and some good information. My baby is only 2 months but I've already thought of how/when I can introduce solids. I will definitely research blw a bit more.
  • @LilLinda327
Love this video!! Wish I started out with blw but was encouraged not to by our parents that are just not as informed. Toddler now struggles to eat on his own, but im working on it now 😃
  • @SlyShippy

  • @plugovaya
Thank you for this! Excited to use this info
  • It's ALL about texture!! Worked amazing for my daughter who is now almost 8 and eats (and prefers) heathier things.
  • My baby is 8 months! I'm so scared to start this due to choking but watching this video I've gotten the confidence to try. Plus my son is tried of puree food lol so time to move on. Thanks so much.
  • I LOVED doing baby led weaning with my baby. And remembering that food before 1 is just for fun helped me relax about my baby not actually eating anything I gave her until she almost a year old! She just played with the food, but never put it in her mouth.
  • @sopeace9968
Thank you, also for the list! :) Pumpkin should also be fine, right? When it's cooked it's soo nice and soft! 😊 Edit: Oh never mind! I found the list in the description. This is SO helpful. Thank you 😊😊😊
