  • My boy Fingolfin gave Morgoth a limp before going down like a true Chad.
  • 18:32 One correction; it was Ecthelion of the Fountain that killed Gothmog. As Glorfindel slew another Balrog blocking the path of survivors from Gondolin.
  • Sauron may have been a force to be reckoned with during his time, but he had to have gotten his legions from somewhere, and Morgoth at the height of his power with hordes of orcs, armies of balrogs, dragons, other creatures, and Sauron himself, was a monstrous sight to behold.

Ecthelion went down like a true chad, taking down dragons and balrogs, finishing gothmog before falling himself. One of the most underrated characters in the tolkien legendarium

Oh good, someone else remembers Boldogs exist. You guys went deep for this lore. And the art is really next level, your Glaurung is terrifying.
  • @ZacharyReaper
I've been a huge fan of Tolkien for 20 years, read the books, silmarilion, watched the movies, played the games, and I've never know about these Vampires and Boldogs. You guys really did your absolute best for this huh?

"I would have followed you my brother, my captain, my dark lord."
  • @AndyOdin22
Gothmog was slain by Ecthelion not Glorfindel who died vanquishing an unnamed balrog.
  • correction it was not glorfindel it was actually ecthalion who slew gothmog in singlecombat glorfindel killed another balrog

i dont remember ungoliath being morgoth's follower if i recall correctly he just enticed the great spider to do his bidding since ungoliath have this insatiable hunger/thirst. So i guess its just a temporary agreement.
  • @johnsteiner3417
You neglected to mention what they did to Morgoth before throwing him through the Door of Night.

6:01 it wasn't because the Orcs/Goblins were afraid of the sea, it's because of the lord of the waters, Ulmo,. He's one of the most powerful Vala (think Poseidon) and he favored Elves and Men. Melkor wouldn't concern himself with the Orcs wants, wishes, or fears. I realize that this video is trying to condense a lot of material, so I'm not saying that the writers of the channel didn't know this. I'm just pointing it out to people who may not know.
  • Not completely sure about references, but in my head I belive the difference between orcs, goblins, and uruks are goblins - mockery of dwarves, orcs - mockery of man, uruks - mockery of elves. P.S. I am aware of the interchangability of orcs and goblins; goblins being used in the hobbit while orcs on the LoTR books.

Always glad to see new middle earth content on this Chanel! Will the 2nd age videos eventually be edited as one long documentary, like you did for the 1st age?
