The Duke of Sussex “hopes” to see his father “soon” after the King’s “full programme” meant a reunion was not possible during Harry’s UK trip to celebrate his Invictus Games.
Harry has travelled to London to mark the 10th anniversary of his Paralympic-style tournament for wounded veterans and serving military but will not cap his visit by sitting down with his father.
The former working royal joked during an Invictus summit event he would be spending the evening having dinner with former Invictus Games Foundation trustee Guy Monson.

I think William deserves some recognition for his loyalty to the King, and country, during a very difficult period in his life. He has a great deal on his shoulders and has done his part to support the Monarchy.

He’s not being unfair… The last time Harry spent time with his father he ran right back to the TV stations and told them everything he said or they said or what happened… The king is protecting himself and his family at this point!

Harry had not attempted a reconciliation, he was wanting to use a meeting with the King to make his Nigerian visit appear to be endorsed by His Majesty's Government. To reconcile you have to build bridges, not use people.

He didn’t come to visit his Dad. So why should the king think he was there to visit. He’s busy being King.Harry has had plenty of time to come for a visit before this and doesn’t. That’s on him, not the King.
