Inconsistent sizing is THE red flag that these items are poorly made in a facility that doesn’t cultivate or compensate for craftsmanship. I can’t even imagine all the returns they have to process. I’m happy the red set worked out at least because you deserved a win!

$73 dollars for a crop tee is horrific. I honestly cannot think of a situation where I would spend that much on a single t-shirt and not feel guilty every time I wore it
  • I remember when Mia didn’t want to say anything bad about a brand, I love seeing her confidence to say what needs to be said now

Since you’re the sweatpants GIRL, I think it would be fun to see you do a ranking of sweatpants sets cause it seems like everyyyy brand is doing them. Like comparing Skims, H&M, Walmart, Aritzia, Abercrombie, Fashion Nova, Wish, Old Navy, Lululemon, Aerie, Victoria Secret, etc. and then just rate them 1-10 depending on fit, comfy, quality, value, etc!!!!!! 👀

I LOVE that Mia views the brand from an ethical and sustainability point of view! NEVER EVER STOP DOING THIS!!!
  • My mom worked in a dress factory decades ago. When they had a quota, supervisors would push them to sew in whatever tag they needed to meet the quota to whatever size they made. If the garments are being made in less than stellar accomodations, they might just be grabbing a tag and sewing it in.

I love it when Mia gets MAD!!! --and for good reason. The prices are insane, the fabrics are synthetic not silk and chiffon! Ugh. I'm so proud of you for making this video and for calling manufacturers out!! PS: Sending love to Mama Maples too!!
  • @SabiChan8
I absolutely love her mom. So much kind and glowing energy!

Momma Maples' laugh could honestly light up an entire planet ❤

I’m from Mexico and my mom grew up working in the clothing manufacturing industry. She recently told me that when she was 14 she had worked a 12 hour day and was really looking fwd to going home when the “managers” told her she couldn’t go home because they were going to pull an all nighter to meet the quotas. She tried to refuse and mentioned how she was so sleepy and didn’t think she could do it so THEY DRUGGED HER!!!. I was so sad for my mom when she told me this story and my heart broke. I couldn’t believe that they drugged a 14 year old child after working her for 12 hours straight just too meet these companies’ quotas. She says that once she was drugged she was so scared to have the needles go thru her fingers because she didn’t feel in control of her body, she had the jitters and all sorts of other bad things. And I’m pretty sure my mom was barely making enough money to buy food, nothing extra. (And I’m also sure it was a very basic diet like eating rice and beans most of the time) These companies truly need to be held accountable because to this day my aunt still works in this industry and she makes $3 a shirt MAX, often less. And when I’ve gone into stores like Macys I can’t find a t shirt for less than $45. So what happens to the other $42?! But to see the amount of work and time my aunt puts into making these clothes for that much money is truly sad. Plus, some companies refuse to pay her if she doesn’t finish the quota on time, they take all the clothes that are already made but don’t pay her or if they are “nice” they only pay her half the money. My aunt gets no sick days so if she gets sick or has a family energy that slows her down she already knows she’s not getting paid for the work she has already done. Thank you for all that you promote Mia! 🫶🏽

When the bikini line came out, I remember someone here in the comment section say Kylie probably made the bikini badly on purpose, so she'd then launch a new clothing line for a high price and everyone would get hyped for it. That person was spot on!

Huge credit to Mia for reviewing brands FULLY. Fit, price point, sustainability, cost vs. worth. Love you!!!!
  • Really appreciate your attention to the ethics and sustainability of every brand!! You rock, Mia!
  • @katyagnew104
Please keep holding your grudge, Mia! The Kar-Jenners slap their name on anything and don't care about their fans, they need to be called out way more!
  • @CaRLaiTJiE
    I can't believe that shirt is 73$. That's disgusting.
  • @savannah.ell6
PLEASE keep doing the brand sustainability/ ethics/ material/ affordability info!!! Absolutely love it and really helps decide if a brand is worth while or not 😊😊😊😊 love your work Mia ❤
  • From Vietnam here, my mum works in textiles so it's really baffling to see how expensive the pieces that were made in VIetnam are, even more so when considering how cheap the labour costs here in the industry
  • Hi Mia ! I work on photoshoots, and there’s a reason why all clothes on the pictures look like a perfect fit ; we have professionnal seamstresses on set, that adjust the garments to the models exact measurements. Zara does it a lot, and I wouldn’t be surprised that it was the case with the faux leather pieces here.
  • I’m glad your mom is ok. I love seeing her in the episodes. Your reviews are so refreshing. Keep fighting for these brands to be ethical and honest.
  • @saramaloney7266
You and your mom are truly Canadian Treasures. Your honesty goes a long way :) Keep up the great work ladies
