It's cracking me up how he keeps saying i'm tired of the maintenance... About everything. I feel that so much.

This is exactly how you should buy a home. Its the size you want along with the location but it doesn't suit your family's needs. You get it because its $220,000 under your budget. Those dollars can be used to make it exactly what you want, the time it takes is the cost to you.

Notice the type of sink they put in after she said she sits in the sick.
  • I've been binging on this series. I'm on year 4 now. These two are definitely my favorite couple so far. They seem really genuine and I love to see the reactions to the renovations. I have a love-hate with the bright homes that so many seem to design because even though I'd love to do some updates to my older home, I definitely love the vintage feel of the darker wood which in my view gives an older home a moodier more personal vibe than these bright aesthetics which feel a little sterile to me. I think it's coming back though as trends do ebb and flow. I do like when they use the colored cabinets in the kitchens and the bathrooms are always beautiful. I also happen to be tracking my genealogy and I just found that my Great-Great-Great Grandfather was not a Black man (although he fathered one) and of course, he left nothing for that side of his family. Its a weird juxtaposition to discover this while watching younger people inherit homes that were sometimes in a family since the time that my ancestors were enslaved. Even though I've always worked very hard, it was only in the last few years that I could purchase my own home and that's because I returned to school late in life, but I'm the age that some are retiring and I have the education debt to deal with now. Lots of historical repercussions in much that happens in this country that sometimes others don't see. I guess this is my Black History moment. :-) Anyway, I do like the show.
