RadiationV2 is a creator that has been showcased on my channel several times spread throughout the years. In other words, he's been around in the creating community for a very long time. This is something that's easily noticeable in the visuals on display here; the approach to block designs, decorations, and object usage in general has a lot of traditional traits. In block designs specifically, this looks a lot like oldschool design levels, focusing on combining default blocks and other details in nice ways without using much glow. On the other hand, pretty much every part mixes in some cool effect in the background or foreground, which is way more modern choice. As a result, this is a nice mix of both traditional and modern (not the style, just modern in time) visuals to me. I've always found it cool to follow creators for a long time to see how they reinvent themselves over time, and RadiationV2 is definitely one the creators I can say that about.

To highlight a few parts, there's the Wave at 0:32 and the Wave at 0:49. The former features a really nice block design, utilzing details like black crosses and light blue electric lines very well. You'll see these lines used several times throughout the level, which helps emphasize the subtle theme going throughout this level. I'd describe it as something like a factory. Perhaps even more important for the theming is the background in this part, which features icons being crushed. This lights up in orange, making for a really nice color combination with the aforementioned blue. The latter part mentioned above has another nice background, and while this one isn't moving, the foreground makes up for it with the black and red pulsing blocks that pop out of the ground. These are synchronized perfectly to the heavy beats of the song, and the rest of the part's colors match these bright colors without any problems. It's also worth noting that these are obstacles that must be dodged.

Visually, I don't think there's much bad to mention here. It hits just the right spot in balancing between oldschool and fresh for me. I mentioned that the foreground effect interacts with the player, and this unique gameplay choice is not the only one. In most of the parts in this level, you can pick between playing two different routes. Normally, this would leave one desired over the other, but Arb tells me they're equally balanced too. Special thanks to him for recording this to be showcased, by the way. Additionally, this seems to be very fun according to the people who have played it thus far, so what more is there to say? This deserves an Epic Insane Demon rating.

i remember radiation being popular like way back in 2016-17, glad to see him still being present and making bangers to this day

Its insane how this level carries an oldschool feeling while literally NEVER feeling dated, thats something very few creators can pull off

What I can say! RadiationV2 is definitely one of my favorite creators in the game and I was 100% sure you'd upload this level to your channel. Quality of this level for my standards is really well made and I love how the execution of it is as good as in any other part! What I always loved about Radiation's design was it's simplicity that at the first sight looks empty, but more acknowlaged creator will notice small and smaller effects/ideas that makes the level look absolutely perfect. What I love about this level the most though is the way you can play the level, as every part has 2 individual routes you can pick, it's up to you how you play the level, which I would love to see in today's levels more often. For me, this level screams that RadiationV2 can do everything he wants to do as I know he has been stuck on last 4 parts for a while, but finally, after 4 months, new level dropped which I was waiting for from the first look at it's layout. Gameplay was super fun to play as I beat it in ~600 attempts (counting all attempts from my mobile copies). And as the gameplay was really enjoyable, decorations were pleasing to eyes every second I played it, especially part at 70% which is definitely my favorite part of this level by far! Even if I am not the creator or playtester, thank you for showcasing this level here :)

I can always appreciate a good old design level, and what a good design level it is! Really impressive how Radiation keeps up with today's maps and creators even after so much time

Despite the rather simplistic and traditional designs, I think this is awesome! This is really well and smoothly executed. I really like the backgrounds, especially the one at 0:32 . There’s definitely a good reason for RadiationV2‘s popularity and his kind of legend status. He’s been there for over 8 years and seeing him still creating those great levels is crazy!

In my opinion this is a great result of combining the old 1.9 style with a modern style. The level has great effects and colors, besides good gameplay.

Really cool level , kinda reminds me of Grax and Alkali. I really like the style the level is in, it feels really new and unique, though it does feel empty in some spaces.

amazing level, i love how even tho creating in a more retroish style, radiation's levels hold up much much better than lots of levels nowadays
  • @pikoisu

It's like if the Motion and Dark Drop series had an illegitimate child and I'm all in for it
  • Without a doubt the best gameplay I've seen at this level, the decoration, the GP and the pulses are synchronized with the level, without a doubt it deserves a feature, good Video Maestro Viprin
