Dude loving your videos. Your playlist on the french was very informative and I play some of those lines myself. Please keep putting out content. Thanks!

I love the pirc! I think I'll have to slow down the video to go through it again as I review my games and see if I spot any patterns! Nonetheless, great video! Thanks!

  • Great video. Is that notation shareable from chess base? I have CB and would love to have all those lines for reference.

I found your video searching for the difference between Pirc defense & King's Indian defense yesterday. Won a few games with that knight fork today (1200 in blitz on chess.com right now). Just wanted to thank you! I like this style of video. It's hard trying to learn all the lines as a beginner, so this is very helpful.

Okay after studying some GM games with chessbase (which I noticed you were using, so I downloaded it) it seems that: 1) 1.d6 is better against 1.e4 because if you 1. Nf6 you can end up getting put into an Alekhine's Defence, which has it's own theory and the purpose behind 1. d6 is to protect that knight so you can get into the KID setup. 2) 1.Nf6 is better against 1.d4 because it prevents them from going 2. e4 and getting center control. 3) Against c4 you can 1. nf6 2. e6 and go nimzo-indian or neo-indian to pin their knight to try not get rolled over in the early game, make them waste a tempo unpinning their knight. I've been studying a lot of opening lines but trying to understand the theory behind the moves. I'm still learning! Once again thank you for this video!

Great video, really helpful. Dumb question, but is the pgn for this available? Or do I have to form it myself from your video. I am bit of a technophobe, sorry. I am learning but try to play Pirc as much as possible.
  • what a great job. Little quick for me but I can watch it again. Thank you. May Jesus bless your family. Amen

Would help if you went further down some of the last lines and went a bit slower due to my aging COVID brain. Good stuff non the less.
