Yes What Crazy people there is an all new line of Mudmasters soon to be released supposedly sometime in the coming month of October, though this has yet to be confirmed, and though we had the 1000 which was fairly recently replaced by the 2000, G Shock have decided to go ahead with a new Mudmaster, no not an upgrade to the 2000, not even a newer series the 3000 but the GWG B1000. Yep a new 1000 series.

The famed GWG 1000 in the grand scheme of G Shocks, excluding the likes of the square, had a pretty long run, it was released in September 2015 and ran for 8 years until it was officially in inverted commas, discontinued at the end of last year 2022, though Casio were still selling the 1000 alongside the 2000 through their online stores up until roughly 6 months ago and their discounted stores up until about a month ago. And are still selling them in many of their high street stores right now. The GWG 1000 successor the GWG 2000 was only released in September of 2021, 2 years ago, pretty much to the day. So why now release a newer version and why place it under the 1000 series?

If you don't want to use Bluetooth - the sunrise/sunset is preprogrammed based on the city you have the watch set to.

I've always considered the Mudmaster to be ultimate apocalypse watch, that's always been it's main appeal to me... but that kinda goes out of the window if it's core features require a phone... with battery... and signal... AND internet! :/ that's a lot to ask for if you're 100 days into an apocalypse or in a bugout situation lol

Long time no see! Hope you are well and such a great video. 🤙🏼

It seems to me that these are three different watches that happen to have the Mudmaster name attached to them. People get so uptight trying to figure out which is the “best”, or what Casio should or shouldn’t have done. Just relax! Casio knows you’re going to buy them all sooner or later, plus the 3000, 4000, 5000, etc.

I never bought the 1000 or 2000 because it just seemed always like the bluetooth version would come soon. Glad it's here, but not sure about the styling.

It's all very interesting as the GWG 2000 also comes in so many variations globally and now this new release of the B1000. yes what u say re the differences of the 2000 Vs 1000, basically the same except for the carbon reinforced PEEK resins which they patented I believe, maybe this was really a "beta" in disguise to trial how it would go. Some viewers on my channel have spoken about rusting (although minor) at the base of the 4 bolts which anchor down the peek end plates on the 2000 -because now they are real bolts as apposed to the fake 1000 bolts any water/moisture could accumulate in this design. Plus the bigger price diff, no improvement over charging regimes of the 2000 vs the 1000 etc. BTW thanks again for watching my vids. U also might find my blog on watches interesting too and I have subbed to your channel as well. @BushcampingTools

I think that there is not even a triple sensor, let alone a sensor for temp en baro
  • I have just ordered the red one it probably has the same features as my GGB100 which my favourite is the map login also the barometer but I don’t like the new app I get range Anxiety with my GGB100 were the GWGB1000 should solve the problem I have a few Solar powered watches which have never let me down and I would Sooner spend my money on a new watch which I like the looks of and stay with my old phone 😊
  • @xpusostomos
You claim the compass has moved to a subdial, but... look at the chapter ring, it has N, S, E and W, so I think not.
  • @Solaar_Punk
    I can't hear what's going on 🤷‍♂️

  • @tariksefic5628
I like it. However, you’re right. This should have been the 2000 in the first place.
  • @odenirongiant
Since the GWG 1000 , G Shock has steadily gone down hill , first with the 2000 now down even further , the new B1000.
  • I have had been using me GWGB1000 for a few weeks now after my wife said you my as well get the pleasure of it now just incase i do-not now make it to my 70th birthday in March 2024 i love the it looks and after the software update from casio all the functions are work correctly the are a few things a don't like the starp keeper does not stay in place it moves up and down the strap also it has pick up sum scratches along with the buckle also I wish the handset would keep away from the lcd screen when adjust things a don't like also haveing to pull the crown out to adjust settings i have noticed that the barometer shows the same readings has my ggb100 and very accurate i like the alarm when the pressure changes but you do have to keep setting the altimeter to your Location on both watches

I love the Red strap one! But i never was a fan of connected watches like Bluetooth. Hate everything being connected to everything. Only reason i might avoid this. Why cant watches be watches plus this has 3 sensors already doesn't need Bluetooth! Mighy buy a strap in exactly that Red colour for my GWG 1000. you think this strap will fit the 1000 as i haven't seen this Red before? Thanks for great video. Long time subber! ❤
