After Almost 5 Years, I Finally Maxed Out NES Tetris

One of my SOs taught me Tetris on the NES, way back in '92. She was the best player I'd ever seen. She used a style that was kind of a cross between hyper-tapping and sorta-not-quite rolling; her lvl 19 starts were hard to even watch. She made it to 29 about 4 out of 10 games. When she passed, I inherited the cartridge, but I don't have a NES. It's fun watching the community here, now that I know it exists. Marie was ahead of the curve with her playstyle, apparently. I wonder how she would do if she could play today? Sorry for dumping in comments, but this video brings back some memories.

I was legit holding my breath in excitement in the last few levels even though I knew the outcome from the start. Didn't think I'd get so happy from seeing someone max out ever again. Congrats!

This game was unbelievably impressive as your first maxout; pre-transition approached the cleanness of top-level gameplay and the numerous clutch survivals in post-transition had me on the edge of my seat throughout.
