Amazing introduction to the world of rally cars, thank you!

I saw a comment on Reddit over why they think WRC has been shrinking in popularity: ”With most of the wrc behind a paywall for spectators it makes it a hard sell for many manufacturers and big-name sponsors, what kind of return on investment are they going to get when the only people who will see their cars and/or advertisements are a few hard-core fans and those lucky enough to live on or near the stages?”

i wish more manufacturers join Rally1 so there are more competition on the highest level
-
I wish they found ways to make rally more accessible. Feels like you have to really dig to find up to date Rallye stuff
-
They are cool cars, but I really feel like they made some serious miss steps with Rally 1. The hybrid being the head scratcher. Andrea Adamo, Hyundai ex-wrc boss openly said they make no sense, as they increased cost. Less manufacturers want to join. There's even talks of Hyundai leaving now.

the amount of "saving the planet" done by these electric wrc cars is absolutely nothing...
-
I think the center differential deletion is a step backwards, it should implement open-center diff or the standardized Torsen unit.
-
Fia really understands and mastered how to take away the fun from everything, by forcing tiny engines with electric motors onto racecars.
-
Just Three Manufacturers In WRC??☹ oh man, the '90s were really the best days for me to watch rally.
-
Rally race is literally created with the soul purpose of promoting better cars for the industry, motor technologies for not only race cars, but all vehicles.
-
hybrid on WRC cars is acceptable, but full electric will piss me off. we need that real engine sound from ICE.
-
Wrc should bring back the homologated 4 door sedan rally car
-
When the new Rally1 were presented, I got the idea that the connections between stages were made 100% electrically. But they are mostly done with the combustion engine. Even in the service and refuelling parks, often you see them use a combustion engine. I feel that they were not completely honest when they presented the specifications, the power reserve it's not big enough to make those. Great video btw.

We should bring back the group A as a top class :) it was nice to see cars that you can own racing on the top :) now Puma, Yaris and I20 have nothing to do with what you can buy in the dealer shop :(

I saw the Rally1 cars live. It was amazing. They are really fast and you can hear them scream from miles away. But i feel like the concept was kinda doomed to fail. There seems to be no interest for new manufacturers to join. Probably because developing a car with 2 different engines (Gas and Hybrid Unit) is expensive. Even if the rest of the car is simpler. Also I got the feeling, there are more breakdowns and crashes than before. Which makes sense, since the cars are heavier, have that E-Boost, but Handling, aero and Setup options are worse

I don't know how eco friendly the hybrid cars really are because they charge the cars with diesel generators.. 😂
-
I just hope they don't get full electric. That would definitely kill my interest. I do not have any problem with hybrid, just hoping for better usage rule and more reliable units. Although WRC 2 is fun again. New Skoda is a beast of a machine.
