In this video I go Carp Fishing with Prawns. Do they catch bigger fish? Do they work at all? Before this, I had no idea. After this, I am starting to think that Prawns as a Carp Bait may well produce bigger fish.

It will, of course require more experimentation at different times of the year and in different situations, but the 20lb and 18lb Carp I caught in this video are somewhat larger than the normal size of Carp I catch in this river.

My main concern is that in Summer, Prawns will attract multitudes of Eels. Luckily, I didn’t catch any on this occasion, but only time will tell.

    Interesting vid and nice fish In my neck of the woods the ghost carp always fight the best Il defo try the prawns for the carp and could get a bonus perch. 👍

    Thats the smallest silver fish net you can get. But I suppose it makes the carp look bigger, but buy a decent net if only for the carp's preservation Dennis?

    I fish a pool quite local to me with whole prawns on a size10, the carp love them, usually floatfished, find them a bit more selective than some baits
