► Formed in 1996 by Phil Elverum, The Microphones was a music project that changed the face of indie rock with records such as The Glow Pt. 2 and Mount Eerie. Phil is widely regarded as a highly influential musician, mostly known for his intimate approach to songwriting and endless experimentation. Though The Microphones dissolved, Phil has continued on under the Mount Eerie name. He’s a once in a lifetime artist that paints the most delicate, detailed portraits with his words.
