  • My hair is thin and fine and to see someone with the same volume hair was invaluable. So glad I came across your video.
  • Oh thank god someone with REAL fine hair! It seems like every time I do a search for fine hair tutorials the model used may have fine hair, but there's a TON of it which gives an entirely different result. With the last one I saw, the "fine" haired model had so much hair it looked like they'd overdone volumizing product. Your hair actually looks more like mine, and I'm watching while holding the scissors! 😅🤞

I can't thank you enough for posting this video. I have extremely fine hair and my crown has pretty much been shedding and sloooowly balding for the past 5-7 years. I'm shy to go to the salon, because usually hairdressers start asking questions like 'oh, are you sick?' or 'did you give birth?' And I'm just totally embarrassed because none of it applies: it's just my hair, it's like that. I'm not actively 'sick', if I can say so. Yes, I have my issues, but after such questions I start feeling really bad about myself and the way I look. Though I'm sure that they're asking without any bad intentions. Anyway I AM GETTING A BOB THIS WEEKEND! Thanks to you ❤

I've been wanting to cut my own hair for a very long time but have been way too nervous. Just did this by myself and it turned out amazing! Thank you!
  • Just cut my hair for the first time using this video and it didn't turn out half bad! Thank you so much for the tutorial! So nervous to make that first cut, but I did it and it feels great for an at-home cut.

It’s a huge PAIN that all salons I’ve gone to, see that my hair is straight and thin and they NEVER section it so all my adult life I’ve been stuck w horrible haircuts, you are a lifesaver!!!!
  • I’ve had bobs most of my life (a long ass time 😂). When you have fine, straight hair, it’s imperative that you not use any tension while cutting. The hair must be very wet and combed down, letting it hang without any tension from fingers. Try it. You’ll see you get better results ❤

I followed your instructions and my hair came out beautiful. Thank you so much!
  • Thank you! This was exactly what I needed to see. I also appreciate you telling us it's not the easiest diy. And the extra tips.

I've had a bob now for over a month. Inspired by your older videos. Love love love. Never going back to long!
  • @katiekins17
This really helped. I always started from the sides but starting from the back was a game changer. I never thought I could because it’s so hard to see but it really helped act as a guide. Thank you!

I rarely comment on videos but I have to leave feedback for this one. I used it to cut my hair for the first time myself after my booty-length hair kept getting matted from depression episodes. I am in total awe at how well it came out and only because of the way that the sectioning and cutting was explained so well in this video. I've never cut hair before and it gave me a decent enough understanding of the basic method to give it a go for myself. I'll continue seeing a stylist in the future but I'm so grateful for at-home resources like this! <3 (Again, like... I didn't even miss any sections on the back of my head because of how thoroughly you explained how to do it, including the part where you say you'll have it touched up which gave me realistic expectations). Thank you again!
  • @Lola-Yo
Great tutorial, my hair is very fine, I already cut my bob before watching this, luckily I used the same method, but I had to use one hand to hold the front mirror, so it was a bit tricky cutting with just one hand. After drying, I straightened it all, which made it easier to check for faults. It turned out good, but I’m not great at the blow drying. Edit……I just bought a de tangler paddle brush and blow dried it, WOW! Thanks for the great tip, it looks fantastic now!
  • @lesliepugh6977
Nice video! My hairdresser retired and i'm thinking of cutting my own. Thanks for sharing!
  • I followed your pixie cut tutorial last year, and here i am again considering doing something with my weird shaggy grow out. Thank you for being a great teacher!
  • Wow, that's a pretty hair cut for thin hair. It's definitely not an easy task cutting one's own hair but, you were so professional 👍🌺
  • @kate_gwynn52
Most informational video I have found! Thank you! Love how you show all angles and really go into all the bits and pieces of haircutting! ❤️
  • @deemusicdub
I 100% did this. Used 6 sections... erred on the side of caution & a little less hair....came out great! Thank you!
  • @leanfar4907
Castor oil scalp and hair over night does wonders, heard coconut oil too but haven't tried that. Thank u for the video! ❤
  • @yeahB
I finally got it, the whole sectioning stuff ! And I was looking for that kind of DIY haircut . On top of it your hair is as fine as mine. Thank you !
