Ronaldo has been finished at the elite level for several years. He just can't make the runs any more, and Martinez has bottled it by not leaving him out. Ronaldo should be enough of a professional to realise that he shouldn't be starting every competitive game for Portugal. But his ego won't let him, and sycophantic Ronaldo fans just can't cope with the reality that it's over.

So the yellow card rule is "ridiculous", because Spain will be missing... one guy. They'll be missing one player because of yellow card accumulation. Would have been two, but Carvajal got a red, so it's just one player. Dumbest thing I've heard all day, and these guys drop a lot of dumb things on a daily basis.
