Can't believe companies have gotten so lazy we compare 2023 game to a game we were disappointed by in 2015..

Seeing those games side by side it is difficult to imagine they are actually 8 years apart. Starfield looks and feels like it came out 3 years after Fallout 4. Which isn't exactly a good look considering Fallout 4 already felt outdated when it came out. Fallout 4 wasn't a massive jump from Skyrim either. Bethesda is stuck in the past.

That very first clip of the indestructible environments is unacceptable in 2023. Games on PS3 had realistic glass physics

Suppose you re-release a 2011 game enough times... suppose you forget it's not 2011 anymore.

My biggest problem with Starfield is that because of this shit we need to wait at least 5 more years till another TES and at least 8 years till a new Fallout game.

The lighting in starfield feels off. Like everything is filtered through a dark tinted window on every planet

As far as the violence parts go, one is the Wasteland so violence on theft is expected. Starfeild it would be natural to call in Security.

Fallout 4 is one of the most under rated games of all time.

Yeah, tired of hearing that Starfield is Fallout 4 in space. Like no it's not, because it is missing so many features that made Fallout 4 fun to play and that is vanilla spce. Of course, modded Fallout 4 is way way better. Edit: You forgot to show that there is no finisher or kill moves like in Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
  • Hoping that like fallout 4 what we have 6 months after launch is a vastly improved experience than the initial release. What astounds me is that the mod community was able to address much of this within the first month while Bethesda is hinting we’ll see some of this when the DLC drops. Maybe it’s me but if there’s scads if videos highlighting product shortcomings, especially compared to work I did 8 years ago, I’d be in a rush to fix it all as fast as possible. Liking the game but when when lessons learned from Fallout 4 don’t prevent those same mistakes being made in later projects you have to wonder what’s up. Basic stuff like clipping issues shouldn’t be in a live product.

To fix your fallout issue where dialog doesn’t line up and you fall really fast you have to cap your refresh rate lower.
  • Ever think the glass doesn't break cuz..ya know, it's bullet proof since they're in a store that sells weapons
  • @simon.6636
starfield has space unbreakable glass, duh
  • @TraceguyRune
Unfair test, you started the SysDef quest. That's like getting mad that in Skyrim if you sleep in a bed, you wake up in a cabin with prisoners and the dark brotherhood

Did we all forget how shit fo4 was when it came out it took years to redeem itself.

Yes now hold the two of those up against Skyrim or New Vegas released in 2011 - they are regressing backwards compared to what they even had before with the physics and NPC reactions. And we had let's see - a game like Half Life 1 and 2 waaay back in 2001 and 2004 that had destructible physics objects and environmental puzzles... really THIS is the best they can do in 2023?
  • @derchesten
We can all agree that the creation engine is a dated piece of history. Also, trying to break things in new Atlantis is a bad example, but the water stuff was a clear afterthought in starfield and it's sad to see Bethesda throwing all those great ideas to waste on piss poor execution and a good for nothing engine.

when you want your companion to revive themselves They never do, but when their is absolutely no need for them to revive themselves they do. NONSENCE!!
