So, let me get this straight. Every time these 2 play a game together, the fate of the universe hangs in the balance? And I thought my grandma’s bridge games were intense.

Eraqus: “Are you calling me a cheater?” Xehanort: “I AIN’T CALLING YOU A RULESER!”
  • @RPGNoZero
Eraqus didn't cheat. He just believed in the heart of the chess pieces
  • @jaxon7506
Should have gotten Josh Peck to play Young Xehanort “Checkmate, CHECKMATE!!!”
  • @KtotheJ524
I love how we assumed they was playing ordinary chess

“You cheated Eraqus! CHEATED!!” “Woah, just take it easy man.”
  • @FAKEDAY
Eraqus cheated, he made an illegal move and xehanort called him out on it. Had eraqus just taken the loss, maybe xehanort wouldn't have to prove it with keyblade war 2

“7 black pieces, and...” There are 13 guardians of light in the KH3 cover art.

No you can’t give me wholesome Xehanort then immediately throw me back to the present. Wtaf happened I got whiplash from the sudden change.
  • @Mochitachi70
That moment when Nomura builds better chemistry over six minutes of a chess game than between Sora and Kairi in the entire saga.

Young eraqus... is Drake Bell. I cannot believe I didn't notice.

Two boys promised to stay by each other's side. Both utterly failed in their own way to keep that promise. One boy, desperate to stay equal to the world's defender, distanced himself from his friend in search of power. The resulting emptiness was filled with obsession and ambition enough for him to lose sight of his promise. "Becoming equal to the world's defender" was twisted into "becoming THE world-defender" as he came to mistake solitude for power. The other boy devoted so much attention to his job that he failed to notice the growing distance between himself and his friend, creating a shadow inside his heart that he only noticed moments before he was struck down. It was his pupil's light that gave him the chance to stick around long enough to reconnect one last time. Only at the end of his life, when there was no future left for him, could Xehanort be made to look back through his dark past and find that one bright moment when he actually conceded defeat for once.

1:08 “maybe they’re the ones for whom the war started” When I first heard that, I believed it implied that the keyblade war began with the sole purpose of killing the foretellers. Now that I’ve seen the KHUX finale, I am blown away
  • @dxg5659
Drake and Josh, but Drake is playing chess with the guy who had to give away his GameSphere games.
  • So Xehanort and Eraqus played the metaphoric chess game when they were little. Well, talk about the power of foresight...
  • @AkemiTheSunbro
“Eraqus, where’s the light of Kingdom Hearts?” “Right there, see? I outlined it with the chess pieces.” “...You were supposed to cut it out with the X-Blade.” “Dude, I’m gonna!” “Okay. Then, go get the X-Blade.” “‘Kay, I will! starts keyblade war “I see the problem...” “OH DO YAH?!”
