You need 100 Crystalized charges to get 1 energy well, and energy wells increase the capacity of the energy cell, which is the battery thing you use for your Zonai devices. There are a max of 48 energy wells, which is really 16 batteries. I know it looks like 8, but the first round of batteries will be green, and the second will be blue.
You produce energy wells by going to a crystal refinery, and the construct will use all the crystalized charges you use for the energy well.

Today we’ll learn some of the best ways to get crystalized charges so you can get maximum battery as soon as possible.

    Just got max battery yesterday! It’s a shame I didn’t get it earlier as being able to trade in for zonai devices would’ve been so helpful mid playthrough

    Yes, I saw at least one other TOTK player say he had maximum zonai wells, but he only showed the green colored ones, meaning he didn't likely know! I didn't know either, until I did the work. It was very rewarding to see this hidden bonus without any spoilers revealed online, at least for myself. This game is easily of the very best Zelda games ever made! I hope they make a 3rd game, or a multiplayer version of this, with DLC!

    @100PercentZelda Can you make a video on the best routes in TOTK to systematically slay fire, ice, and elec lizalfos to collect enough tails to upgrade all armor. You have a good video for BOTW.

    Forgive me if you mentioned it somewhere in the video, but the absolute fastest way to max your battery is by getting large Zonaite, duplicating it many times over (may edit later with the exact amount), buying Large Crystallized Charges from every single Forge Construct, going to sleep (which stocks back all of the places you bought it from) and you do it over and over untll you have 4,500 Crystallized Charges (assuming no previous upgrades). This of course is less viable for post-1.1.2 versions of the game or if you simply don’t wanna dupe, but it may be worth mentioning nonetheless.

    How do I get the yellow battery bar? When I consume a energy cell, nothing happens. Do you not get a yellow bar if you have max battery?
