We need more candid competition! Maybe they can see what happens when a Thrupple (Zack, Miles, and Maggie) tries to do things

i like to think that maggie and sarah are a happily married lesbian couple in the candid competition universe
  • When the final video of Maggie’s and Zach’s wedding came out, I was watching it while I got ready for my proposal (not knowing that was happening)

I love how fond Maggie's voice and face is during this video. She's so proud and happy for Zach and his creative projects.
  • The Kardashian episode where they all dress up as each other is so iconic. I think the You Can Sit With Us crew doing TikToks where you dress up as each other at the office would be hilarious

I also remember thinking this Candid Competition is insanely ridiculous and hilarious but still went down the rabbit hole of binging the entire series lol
  • I love Candid Competiton! It's definitely my favorite, never fails to give me a good belly laugh. Zach and Milles have the best dynamic.

So......honestly, Miles, Sarah, (and all the other past hilarious ppl like the finance girlie (im so sorry i forget her name off the top of my head but i loooved her episode), Rachel, Desiree, Kaylin....theyre all so entertaining that I WISH they all sat together much more regularly to fill in the gap that Ariel left. Just seeing Miles be so natural in this podcast bc hes used to it, I would love to see some of the other people mentioned get experience on the podcast so we can have great conversations like in today's ep. Also I'm curious why YB hasn't been a guest yet. She was on the Asian female-led episode but not one where we get to know YB with the gals. Love YB
  • Love this idea!!! Will there be future interview type of convo with other Try Teams members/ guests who were included in videos too? Maybe Rosanna,or Kwesi or JonnyCakes? 🤩🤩

This may be a bit silly -- but I loved the fun approach in the history segment! History used to be my least favourite subject in high school, because there's such a focus on political rulers and the elite parts of society. But humans have been the same species throughout history -- it's not the sanitized, boring version we teach in high school. Studying history is basically just studying old gossip from legal documents and court proceedings, trying to understand how the culture of the time influenced people of the past and their actions, how they reacted to politics, what they did in their everyday lives. So, thank you, Miles for bringing up that we need to start seeing people of the past as the silly gossips they were! Also, as an MA art history student, I loved that Rainie brought up the polychrome of Ancient Greek and Roman sculptures! Our long-held beliefs that they were pure white was just fabrication, justifying the colonial beliefs about "civilized" cultures vs. "primitive" ones. Repeating this belief throughout the last few hundred years of writing history just perpetuated white supremacy. When actually, the sculptures were colourful and golden -- more on the gaudy and tacky side of things, instead of this pure, sanitized image Western history tried to construct in its origin myth! All of this is actually super important in studying history right now, as enrollment and graduation from history majors is dropping, which can have dire consequences for a population. Humanities and Arts degrees really hone people's research and critical thinking skills. History also teaches us what kinds of tools were used for political propaganda and helps us predict what kinds of oppressive beliefs may crop back up, depending on what our present-day political landscape looks like! So, thank you for making history silly! I really do think studying history through pop culture makes a huge difference in keeping students' interest! :)

I want a Candid Competition episode where both Maggie and goth Miles are like “wtf Zach?”
