I love how Lucio is falling to his death trying to get to the ship and Mercy is just there as if she hasn't canonically flown and carried people with her magic techno-angel powers.

At this point, id rather pay $10-$15 to see an overwatch movie at this point. The cut scenes seem better than the gameplay

im fangirling over the animation finally having interaction between more than five characters

just to remember... that first mission was done years ago during blizzcon.

Man, it really hurts to see this. The gameplay looks fun, the characters are well crafted, and the cinematics are amazing. There’s so clearly a lot of passion behind this game, and it’s so disappointing that I’ve gotta say no. Blizzard leadership need to take a good hard look at how horribly they’ve treated this community, and how that will impact their sales of a genuinely good product. Like this is great. It’s not 15$ of content. You can’t release a hundredth of a full modern rpg and expect people to pay for a quarter of the price for a full rpg, after advertising that rpg as a singular and continuous experience. We need to hold them to the standard they set themselves to. If they’re gonna make quality content, and expect it to sell, then simply make better decisions for the health of your audience. We don’t want lies, we don’t want placating gestures, we want what was promised, end of story. If it’s not the best game ever made, cool. Whatever, everyone has a bad entry now and then, but people would have enjoyed it. Release the full rpg and I’ll consider coming back. None of this piece wise bullshit.

Now I'm sad this isn't gonna be it's own game aside from PvP. Like, it's isn't really good, but its's still refreshing to see actual lore and interaction to the world of Overwatch.

I’m glad they went for realism when making the test bots. That rein felt like a real overwatch player as he stomped on lucio’s fresh fruit and clean countertops, and that winston acted just like my comp teammates

The PvE is decently fun, but it’s absolutely not worth 15 dollars and it’s basically just a slightly more advanced version of the archives mission
  • That was nice. Rein having an actually heated interaction with Bastion, I've been wanting to see this since both of their cinematics were two sides of the same war.
  • @OctolinkG
we gonna talk about how the game thinks you're Bastion in the first mission...?

14:42 the short series of genesis explaining the origin of the omnics helped so much. The fact that they were given free will to choose what to do in the war is enough for me to respect the omnics that chose to be peaceful and fight alongside the humans
  • @mynxiejean1169
This looks really cool. But idk if it's enough to bring me back to overwatch. I'll watch Andrew play it, though

I agree that the content feels "dated", and that clearly is because the talent system issues delayed this stuff and it really is a shame that they a) announced any of it before they knew they had something good, and b) didn't scrap the talent content sooner so the two year drought was either shorter or we got this when OW"2" was "released". Doesn't excuse the decision to move so much staff to the PvE content to the point that caused the two year drought, and I would say this content is only worth $10 at most. Sorry guys, but had PvE actually been ready for launch, OW2 would almost certainly not have been free2play, that announcement happened so late it was simply a byproduct of them knowing they couldn't put a shelf price on the game we eventually got, which was nothing more than a glorified update patch, not a sequel. What worries me is the price of $15 for this and for future sets is that they may only have 3-4 of them planned out. Hopefully I'm wrong, but indefinite PvE content at $15 a pop will have a drastic purchase drop off rate and they'll end up abandoning the story content because the income from it is too low, its the risk of episodic content with a price tag. I think the bulk of the originally planned story is already complete, but until they know there is a good amount of income, I doubt they'll actually get started on anything beyond what was intended for the original launch. With the negativity around Blizzard these past 3-5 years, I think its very likely that even with this obnoxious price point none of this content will make enough money to justify itself, which really sucks because the money from skins and the Battle Pass should really factor in to that decision, but there is no way to suits at ABK or even Microsoft will be happy with money being spent on something that can't pay for itself.

4:05, Mei’s ice cube didn’t launch you off, the Nulltroopers have a punch attack that knock you back, it shows in the kill feed that the Nulltrooper killed you
  • @zerocloudgt
“Just in the omnic of time” I don’t know why this line had me on the floor laughing so much
  • @deejplayz4196
Not buying 15 dollars for missions. To those who enjoy it the story, more power to you.
  • The question I have about this, do you actually have to pay 15 bucks for these missions
  • @Relevart9169
Love how he was disappointed by blizzard's lies and quit but then came back and gave them more money, ye that'll show em
