The 2024 Acura ZDX Type S Is The Ultimate EV Collaboration Between Japan & America

After a decade long hiatus, the #AcuraZDX returns for 2024 and this time, #Acura has made the new #ZDX even more controversial by making it fully electric and borrow technology from the GM Ultium platform. It also takes the form as the #ZDXTypeS making this the most powerful production SUV Acura has ever produced. While the #AcuraZDXTypeS may share a lot under the skin with a Cadillac Lyriq, the design is purely Acura and with nearly 500 HP under the hood, it should live up to the #TypeS badge.

Happy Thursday everyone! The wait to find out how the new Acura ZDX Type S drives is finally over and we’re happy to say it feels noticeably sportier with a different character versus the Lyriq AWD we tested a couple months ago! We should be driving an A-Spec version as well later this summer! Stay tuned 😊

That chrome piece running over the windows and past the C pillar makes the vehicle look like a hearse.

Bro, that "hearse" roof is a complete disaster. I cannot see past it. One misplaced strip of chrome ruined the entire car. It's ridiculous.

My same comment with other posted videos... it looks drop DEAD gorgeous. That chrome piece between the c and d pillar with black panel reminds me of a hearse. Everything else, its an awesome Acura and GM collaboration.

I would pick the Lyriq over this in any day, specially when this looks like a hearse

Acura premium prices for a rebadged GM. Honda and Acura is heading towards Nissan/Infiniti territory

One of the points of getting a Honda or a Acura is reliability. Not only is it a GM product, it’s a EV with higher repair costs if and when things break.

I’m worried about future support for this car. Especially since the GM partnership has ended before the ZDX has even found on sale
  • I still think this is $5000 more expensive than it should be even though it does come with federal tax credit. I don’t mind GM’s platform sharing with same battery components, but it bothers me that the key fob, door chime, and infotainment screen, switch gears and buttons are all General Motors.

Looks like a hearse from the side view, imo. 😕

This ZDX definitely has funeral car vibes, the first fully electric hearse! I don't know who they have on the drawing board for this one but this is already screaming total redesign.

It’s funny how some people choose to bash some rebranded vehicles, and ignore some others. I’ve yet to see a Lamborghini or Rolls Royce review where someone points out the cheaper brand underpinnings. Yes, you too can open a RR hood or Lamborghini hood and see plenty of part sharing with BMW and Audi.
